          "text": "<p>As a Lead Fitter/Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating a wide range of miscellaneous metal projects. This includes cutting and welding metal pieces and products using flame-cutting and hand-welding equipment.</p><p><strong>Minimum Starting Salary:</strong>&#xa0;$25.00 - $30.00 per hour - depending on experience</p><p><strong>Nights:&#xa0;</strong>Monday - Thursday 4:00pm to 3:00am - Plus a $2.00 shift differential</p><p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded.</li><li>Maintain, organize, and keep work area and equipment in operating condition.</li><li>Hand-weld and/or flame-cut equipment to join metal components.</li><li>Cut and scarf using an oxy-acetylene torch.</li><li>Structural welding using FCAW &amp; SMAW.</li><li>Align and fit parts according to specifications using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.</li><li>Properly assemble and disassemble weld setups.</li><li>Remove high spots and cut bevels using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches.</li><li>Reshape metal workpieces to establish specifications.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of metal and basic shop fabrication equipment.</li><li>Knowledge and proficiency in MIG welding with the ability to pass a welding test.</li><li>Knowledge of TIG welding is a plus.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints.</li><li>Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to change.</li><li>Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines.</li></ul>",
