Globally, we manage over 320 million square feet of client portfolios across 30,000+ locations in North America, Europe, Middle East, Australia and Asia. &nbsp; Further information is available at www.bgis.com</p>\n<p>SUMMARY<br><br>\n BGIS Integrated Technical Services (ITS) is expanding its Western Canada Building Automation team as we continue to build an in‑house service and construction delivery model to support our growing managed‑asset portfolio.</p>\n<p>We are seeking an Intermediate BMS Technician with hands‑on experience across multiple BAS platforms to support both service and construction activities. This role will work closely with senior technicians, project teams, and operations groups to deliver reliable, high‑quality building automation solutions across our portfolio.</p>\n<p>KEY DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform service, troubleshooting, and minor programming changes on existing BMS installations</li>\n <li>Support BAS construction activities, including:&nbsp;\n  <ul>\n   <li>Panel and device installation</li>\n   <li>Point‑to‑point checkout</li>\n   <li>Field device termination</li>\n   <li>Startup and commissioning support</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Diagnose and resolve issues related to sensors, actuators, controllers, and network communications</li>\n <li>Support system upgrades, expansions, and front‑end transitions within the BGIS portfolio</li>\n <li>Participate in site walks, deficiency resolution, and client support activities</li>\n <li>Assist with documentation, redlines, and as‑built drawings</li>\n <li>Coordinate with internal project managers, general forepersons, and subcontractors as required</li>\n <li>Travel within Western Canada and, as needed, to other portfolio locations</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS</p>\n<ul>\n <li>3–6 years of hands‑on Building Automation / Controls experience</li>\n <li>Proven experience working with one or more of the following BAS platforms:&nbsp;\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Delta Controls</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure / Continuum / SmartX)</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Honeywell</strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Siemens</strong></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Strong understanding of:&nbsp;\n  <ul>\n   <li>BACnet/IP and MS/TP networks</li>\n   <li>Field devices (sensors, actuators, VFD interfaces, meters)</li>\n   <li>Low‑voltage wiring and control schematics</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Experience supporting both service and installation / construction scopes</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills and a professional client‑facing approach</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Assets (Nice to Have)</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>OEM certifications (Delta, Schneider, Honeywell, Siemens, etc.)</li>\n <li>Experience working in institutional or large portfolio environments (schools, healthcare, government, commercial)</li>\n <li>Networking or IT familiarity related to BAS systems</li>\n <li>Experience with agnostic or multi‑vendor BMS front‑ends</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Why Join BGIS ITS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Opportunity to help build and shape a growing in‑house automation team</li>\n <li>Work across a diverse, multi‑vendor portfolio</li>\n <li>Stable, long‑term work supporting existing assets—not just one‑off projects</li>\n <li>Career growth into senior technical, specialist, or leadership roles</li>\n <li>Supportive team environment with strong technical mentorship</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>At BGIS we believe that diversity and inclusion is a key business driver, such that we never lose sight of its importance as it is woven into the fabric of our organization.
