    "description_html": "<p><strong>Job title: </strong><em>Specialty Clinic Oncology Nurse</em></p><p><strong>Reports to: </strong><em>Specialty Clinic Manager</em></p><p><strong>Status: Full-Time&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Benefit Eligible: Yes</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Oncology Nurse provides direct nursing care for hematology/oncology patients, including appropriate supportive care and administration of chemotherapy, blood components, fluid and electrolyte replacements, and other oncology treatments as prescribed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p><ul><li>Assessing patients</li><li>Administering cancer treatments</li><li>Explaining the treatments and answering questions for patients</li><li>Managing the side effects of cancer treatments and helping manage pain</li><li>Monitoring vitals of patients</li><li>Supporting the emotional wellbeing of patients</li><li>Providing information on resources for family members</li><li>Performing assessment, access, and maintenance of venous access devices</li><li>Performing phlebotomy procedures including starting peripheral IVs and drawing blood from midline catheters, peripherally inserted central catheters, and ports</li><li>Ensures the confidentiality of patients’ medical, personal, and financial records is maintained</li><li>Complying with Cherry County Hospital personnel policies&nbsp;</li><li>Performing other duties as assigned&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Abilities Required</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations</li><li>Skilled in providing a safe space for patients undergoing cancer treatments</li><li>Strong communication skills to explain treatments to patients and share information with Physicians</li><li>Collaborate well with other care providers</li><li>Strong understanding of cancer treatments and research to support patients</li><li>Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands and Working Conditions</strong></p><ul><li>Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements</li><li>Moderate physical activity, requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds&nbsp;</li><li>Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day</li><li>Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>We would also like to highlight our Comprehensive Benefit Package, which includes:</strong></p><ul><li>Health Insurance: Co-pay or HSA plan options with 100% coverage for the Employee</li><li>Dental Coverage: 100% coverage for the Employee</li><li>Vision Coverage: 100% coverage for the Employee</li><li>$50,000 Group Life Insurance with AD&amp;D</li><li>Long-Term Disability Coverage: 100% coverage for the Employee</li><li>Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts</li><li>Health Savings Account with employer contribution</li><li>Supplemental Insurances: Short-Term Disability, Supplemental Life and AD&amp;D, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and Accident</li><li>Retirement Plan: 457 plan with Pre-Tax and Roth options</li></ul><p>#ZR</p>",
