    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The&nbsp;Nail Technician is responsible for assisting the Podiatrist, evaluating and providing treatment to patients, and documenting.</p><p><strong>Job Relationships</strong></p><p>Reports to the Operations Manager.</p><p><strong>Principal Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform trimming and debridement of toenails on patients with myocotic nails.</li><li>Rule out contra-indications to treatment and recommend necessary changes.</li><li>Monitor the effects of treatment and modify techniques to achieve maximum benefit.</li><li>Verbally report progress or changes in the patient’s condition to the Podiatrist.</li><li>Communicate professionally in person or by telephone.</li><li>Provide patient/family education and reinforce all patient teaching.</li><li>Document progress report in medical record.</li><li>Schedule appointments and maintain daily attendance records in compliance with billing standards.</li><li>Accurately complete encounters and maintain record of treatment given.</li><li>Assist providers in clinic as needed including outreach locations.</li><li>Maintain clean, neat, orderly work environment.</li><li>Economically utilize supplies.</li><li>Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.</li><li>Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training &amp; accomplishments as required per policy.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy.</li><li>Perform other job duties as assigned.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Education/Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Graduate of an accredited nail technician program.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Licenses/Certificates</strong></p><ul><li>Current Licensed Nail Technician (LNT) or Licensed Professional Cosmetologist (LPC) through the State of Illinois.</li><li>Must be MediNail-Advanced Technologist (M-ANT) Certified through the Medinail Learning Center (MLC) within the first six weeks of hire date.</li><li>Current CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Working Environment</strong></p><ul><li>Operates in a professional office environment.</li><li>Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>PHI/Privacy Level</strong></p><p>HIPAA1</p>",
