Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index.</p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<strong>Senior Process Engineer – New Bedford, MA</strong>\n<strong>The Role</strong>You’ll be joining a manufacturing team that works on ceramic-to-metal components used in medical devices and aerospace systems. In simple terms, what you do here has a direct impact on both patient outcomes and passenger safety. Not small stuff.This role is all about improving how things are made—making processes safer, faster, more consistent, and less costly. You won’t just spot problems; you’ll fix them, scale solutions, and help others level up along the way.\n<strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong>Day to day, you’ll be balancing technical problem-solving with hands-on support to production and development teams. It’s a mix of design, analysis, and getting stuck in on the shop floor.\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and support process improvements across manufacturing—think efficiency, quality, and cost</li>\n <li>Design and implement manufacturing processes for ceramics and composite materials</li>\n <li>Take projects from idea through to full implementation (and make sure they actually work in the real world)</li>\n <li>Develop documentation—BOMs, drawings, work instructions, control plans</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot production issues using structured problem-solving methods (FMEA, root cause analysis, etc.)</li>\n <li>Support new product launches and scale-up from prototype to production</li>\n <li>Work cross-functionally with quality, supply chain, and engineering teams</li>\n <li>Run PFMEAs and drive continuous improvement initiatives (scrap reduction, yield, uptime)</li>\n <li>Mentor junior engineers and support team capability building</li>\n <li>Contribute to capital equipment planning and justification</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<strong>What You’ll Bring</strong>We’re looking for someone who’s technically solid but also practical—someone who can turn theory into working solutions on the shop floor.\n<ul>\n <li>Degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or similar</li>\n <li>Around 7–10 years’ experience in manufacturing/process engineering</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with mixing, molding, and high-temperature processes (ovens, presses, etc.)</li>\n <li>Background working with ceramic materials</li>\n <li>Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems</li>\n <li>Experience with Lean and continuous improvement methods (Kaizen, etc.)</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills—you’re comfortable digging into issues and seeing them through</li>\n <li>Ability to create clear, usable documentation (not just tick boxes)</li>\n <li>Confident communicator—you can work across teams and levels without making it complicated</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Important:</strong> This role involves working with controlled technical data, so you’ll need to meet U.S. ITAR requirements (citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual).\n<strong>Nice to Have</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting APQP / PPAP processes</li>\n <li>Exposure to medical or aerospace manufacturing</li>\n <li>Experience scaling up production processes</li>\n <li>Background mentoring or leading junior engineers</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>What You’ll Get</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>A role where your work has a real-world impact (medical + aerospace applications)</li>\n <li>A mix of hands-on engineering and strategic improvement work</li>\n <li>The chance to work with a collaborative, technically strong team</li>\n <li>Standard benefits package and opportunities for growth</li>\n <li>Some travel, but nothing excessive</li>\n</ul>If this sounds like your kind of role, apply now.\n<p>Morgan Advanced Materials is an EEO/AA/M/W/D/V Employer.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of this job.
