Successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design of MEP and Fire Suppression Systems for our industrial, commercial, retail, educational, and government clients. You will manage and work closely with in-house engineers and other designers in multiple disciplines on projects to prepare construction documents for mechanical and fire suppression systems.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> &nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Primary responsibilities include site audits, calculations, equipment selections, drawing preparations, project budgets, construction cost estimating, construction administration support, meeting/review participation, project staffing, and writing proposals.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp; <strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS &nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient in the use of Carrier HAP or Trane Trace HVAC load analysis programs; Carrier HAP preferred.</li><li>Proficient in the psychometric considerations and calculations of HVAC systems&#39; design.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in QA/QC of construction documents of engineers under their supervision and as part of a team.</li><li>Experience in writing detailed engineering specifications and preparing construction contract documents for competitive bidding.</li><li>Experience in critically reviewing shop drawings for project-specified mechanical equipment.</li><li>Capable of coordinating with, and inspecting the work of, contractors during the construction phase to enforce the construction documents.</li><li>5+ years of design experience for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire suppression systems.</li><li>3+ years of experience using Auto CAD (Revit is a plus).</li><li>Understanding of mechanical codes and regulations.</li><li>Understanding of NFPA, ANSI, and ASHRAE Standards.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Excel, Word).&nbsp;</li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><p><strong>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with Revit is a plus.</li><li>Experience in Carrier HAP is preferred.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Professional Engineering License in the of State of Ohio is a plus.</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>What can a ValuTech employee expect?</strong></p><p>At ValuTech we believe in taking care of our employees with a comprehensive benefits package. &nbsp;Our health and welfare benefits include two medical plan options along with a LiveHealth program to see a doctor online anytime day or night.
