This person will be responsible for research and development of weapons systems and related applications, drawing on an understanding of fundamental physics. Innovative and independent thinking is an absolute must, but must be achieved in the context of collaborative team efforts. Projects will require the ability to start with a problem, create concept solutions, and mature that concept into a prototype that can be tested. Problems will be diverse and multifaceted, ranging from the purely mechanical to the purely computational.</p><p><strong>General Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\">Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance is required</li><li>Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time</li><li>0-5 Years of previous experience</li></ul><p><strong>Required Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Master&rsquo;s or Doctorate</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Backgrounds:</strong></p><ul><li>Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Flight Vehicles, RF</li><li>Design, AI/ML</li><li>Desired Skills and Experience</li><li>Experience in both experimental work and computational tools.</li><li>Simulation and design skills.</li><li>Innovative and independent thinking.</li><li>Knowledge of how to build prototypes.</li><li>Possess the ability to evaluate systems and solutions by creating or adapting mathematical models (Models might be either analytical or numerical).</li><li>Efficiency in prototyping in Python or other open interpreted language required.</li><li>Fluency in C or FORTRAN is desirable.</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Why Corvid?</strong></p><p>Founded in 2004, we are a group of over 300 engineers and scientists, about 3/4 with master&rsquo; degrees or Ph.D.&#39;s, that provide end-to-end solutions including concept development, design and optimization, prototype build, test and manufacture. &nbsp;We leverage the predictive capability of our high-fidelity computational physics solvers, indigenous massively parallel supercomputer system, prototyping plant, and ballistics and mechanics lab to investigate a variety of high-rate physics phenomena.&nbsp;</p><p>The results are complex engineering solutions for a variety of applications; aircraft, ballistic missile defense, cybersecurity, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, and missile and warhead design and development. &nbsp;These results are achieved with optimal design and cost efficiency due to the predictive capability of Corvid&rsquo;s tools and our in-house, end-to-end integrated approach, which differentiates Corvid from the market.</p><p>We value our people and offer employees a broad range of benefits.
