    "jobDescription": "<p>Relocation Assistance</p><p></p><p><b><u>Job Summary</u></b></p><p>The Market Director of Finance (MDOF) Resort Operations (Ops) is a pro-active and trusted business leader who provides financial expertise and leads the delivery of financial analysis and reports that enable business partners to make timely and informed business decisions, optimize business value, and manage financial risk.  Responsible for leading Resort Operations Finance in support of and in alignment with Resort Operations team. </p><p>The resort operations finance team consists of Finance and Accounting (F&amp;A) professionals based on-site at various resort locations within a specific geographic area.  The total number of resorts in the MDOF’s portfolio may vary over time as the company expands the Marriott Vacation Clubs brand.  Resort operations finance is responsible for financial compliance and adherence of the management agreements with the nonprofit property owners’ associations and the financial and accounting reporting and analysis of the on-site ancillary business operations.</p><p>MDOF must have a pulse on the business, anticipating the ever-changing environment, while meeting company financial objectives and ensuring compliance of accounting controls within their portfolio of resorts. Provides clear direction through effective communication, setting realistic expectations, monitoring the progress of the team and following-up on status and course correct when necessary, are all key responsibilities of the MDOF.  Other core work activities include, but not limited to, business partnering with various stakeholders to positively impact decision outcomes, ensuring the integrity of the financial reporting, and driving improvements to transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness of the reporting.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Expected Contributions</u></b></p><p></p><p><b>Managing &amp; Leading:</b></p><ul><li>Establish F&amp;A goals that are fully aligned with organizational goals and effectively lead change to support company objectives</li><li>Motivate and recruit the resort operations finance team within the MDOF’s portfolio of resorts</li><li>Direct and continually improve the financial reporting process, including analyzing job tasks and structure to maintain controls, transparency, efficiency and effectiveness</li><li>Leads and provides direction, coaching and guidance to on-site F&amp;A team</li><li>Actively support the development and training of associates</li><li>Working with others to identify and remove barriers to success</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Financial Planning &amp; Analysis:</b></p><ul><li>Lead the comprehensive annual business plans for property owners’ association and on-site ancillary operations, including action plans to meet financial objectives</li><li>Manage regional cash flow and profit forecasts that facilitate timely adjustments to the business</li><li>Provide analytical support during budget reviews and capital planning to identify cost savings and productivity opportunities</li><li>Manage special projects as directed by the business needs</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Strategic Planning &amp; Business Partnerships:</b></p><ul><li>Utilize effective relationship building skills with a broad range of business partners to gain trust, positively impact decision outcomes, and mitigate risk to the organization.  Stakeholders include, but not limited to, corporate and F&amp;A executives, Asset Management, corporate and regional Resort Operations executives, corporate tax, property owners’ association Board of Directors, on-site leaders and associates, internal and external auditors, and third-party vendors.</li><li>Make quality business decisions that thoughtfully weigh the facts and understand the interests of stakeholders involved</li><li>Manage new site start up, including pre-opening assessment, working with Asset Management and Resort Operations to positively impact decision outcomes of operational set-up, and F&amp;A recruitment</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Accounting, Financial Systems &amp; Controls:</b></p><ul><li>Responsible for providing direction and ensuring the integrity of the financial reporting and resort operations finance through a strong internal controls environment, including the compliance to company standards and policies, General Accepted Accounting Principles, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements</li><li>Provide oversight to audit processes by analyzing property level self-assessments and assisting with internal, tax, and regulatory audits</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Candidate Profile </u></b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred, or related major</li><li>10&#43; years related work experience in finance and accounting, or,</li><li>High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work experience</li></ul><p></p><p>Pay Range $125k-$175k</p><p>#LI-AS1</p><p>#imvwcorp</p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><span>Marriott Vacations Worldwide is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.</span></p>",
