As new contracts are awarded, this position may also support direct client engagements.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate blends hands-on technical depth with strong architectural vision, communication skills, and an ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>**Must be local to the DC Metro Area, mostly remote**</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Benefits:• Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance• Employer-Paid Life Insurance• Employer-Paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance• 401(k) • Paid Time Off (PTO) that includes Vacation Leave, Sick Leave, and 11 Paid Holidays• Educational Assistance</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary: 165k-190k (Negotiable for the right candidate)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Click here to learn about BRMi's culture.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Click here to see BRMi’s Glassdoor reviews</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead or significantly contribute to the technical solution sections of federal proposals, including system architecture, security, cloud, and implementation approaches.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with capture managers, proposal managers, and subject matter experts to develop winning technical strategies.</li>\n <li>Clearly articulate proposed solutions, assumptions, risks, and trade-offs in proposal narratives and diagrams.</li>\n <li>Design and document enterprise and solution architectures aligned with business objectives, customer requirements, and industry best practices. </li>\n <li>Develop reusable solution architectures and technical content based on corporate past performance to support proposal development.</li>\n <li>Serve as an internal technology subject matter expert across domains such as software engineering, systems integration, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data platforms, and emerging technologies.</li>\n <li>Act as a technical advisor to delivery teams, providing guidance on architecture decisions, technology selection, and long-term scalability.</li>\n <li>Research emerging technologies and industry trends, assess their applicability, and develop proof-of-concept prototypes where appropriate.</li>\n <li>Facilitate brown-bag sessions, technical workshops, or knowledge-sharing forums to build organizational capability and awareness.</li>\n <li>Assist with architectural oversight and high-level management of corporate cloud environments (AWS and Azure), including guidance on security, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.</li>\n <li>10+ years of experience supporting IT projects and solution development across multiple technology domains.</li>\n <li>3+ years of experience in an Enterprise Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role designing complex, enterprise-scale systems.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting federal government programs and proposal efforts.</li>\n <li>Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to produce clear, high-quality documentation and architecture diagrams.</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience designing and developing web-based applications using Java or .NET, along with modern JavaScript frameworks.</li>\n <li>Deep understanding of:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Enterprise application architectures and integration patterns</li>\n   <li>Relational databases and data-driven systems</li>\n   <li>Client-server and distributed systems</li>\n   <li>Web services and APIs</li>\n   <li>Linux and Windows server environments</li>\n   <li>Cloud architectures and deployment models</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Experience supporting the implementation and operation of enterprise applications and infrastructure.</li>\n <li>Relative certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect) are a plus.</li>\n <li>Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred / Desired Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with security and compliance in regulated environments, including development or support of System Security Plans (SSPs).</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST SP 800-53, CMMC, and related controls.</li>\n <li>Experience or familiarity with AI/ML, natural language processing, data analytics, or advanced data platforms.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere.</li>\n <li>Experience with enterprise content management and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, OpenText).</li>\n <li>Familiarity with industry best-practice frameworks such as ITIL, CMMI, TOGAF, or similar enterprise architecture methodologies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled </strong></p>\n<p>We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and commitment at all levels.
