Our values and continuous improvement culture build the foundation of strong and sustainable businesses appreciated by our employees and customers around the world.</p><p>For our Ammeraal Beltech and AMMEGA Operations team, we are currently looking for a</p><p><strong>Belt Technician I</strong></p><p>The Belt Technician’s primary responsibility is to fabricate an in tolerance finished conveyor belt in accordance to the order requirements and accepted processes/procedures as established by the company’s work instructions.&nbsp;</p><p>A day in the life of a Belt Technician can look like</p><p>· Become proficient in all processes and concepts as outlined for Belt Tech competencies and skill areas. Reference Fabrication skill matrix</p><p>· Observe and follow safety rules as outlined in the Safety Policy</p><p>· Observe and follow company policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook</p><p>· Complete shop orders by the Production Priority Code system as established</p><p>· Complete the assigned work without fabrication errors and in accordance with quality standards as well as customer specific requirements</p><p>· Perform necessary tasks in fulfilling work orders that achieve company goals in support of internal and external customers, quality and on-time delivery</p><p>· Perform regular housekeeping of the work station assigned</p><p>· Identify unusual or uncommon fabrication instruction and clarify with Team Lead</p><p>· Provide assistance as required in other areas as needed to support company and plant goals</p><p>· Assist with belt installation at customers’ facilities on time and in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with company policy and practices</p><p>· Complete any additional special assignments as assigned</p><p>· Perform general belt fabrication including Cut To Length, Lacing, Finger Splicing and Slitting</p><p>We are looking for you to have</p><p>· High school Diploma, GED, Technical/Trade School or equivalent experience</p><p>· Valid driver’s license required if operating company vehicle</p><p>· Prior manufacturing work experience in operating machinery and using various hand tools</p><p>· Ability to read and comprehend shop orders and working drawings written in English</p><p>· Must be able to read and interpret measuring devices (tape measures, calipers, scales)</p><p>· Ability to complete basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and metric system</p><p>· Must be able to work in the US</p><p>Competencies</p><p>· Excellent communication and follow-up skills</p><p>· Detail and task orientated</p><p>· Continuous improvement/innovation</p><p>· Must be able to read and write English</p><p>· Are accountable to others</p><p>· Have the courage to challenge the status quo</p><p>· Are honest with co-workers and customers</p><p>· Able to be innovative problem solvers</p><p>· Are engaged team members</p><p>· Add value to the Company</p><p>· Expects excellence of self and others</p><p>· Overserves top customers</p><p>· Understands, simplifies and acts to improve processes</p><p>Physical Demands</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
