Our growth continues at rocket pace with over 300 MDs across Canada, and a rapidly growing presence across the United States! 🚀</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>ROLE DESCRIPTION: </span></p>\n<p><span>Rocket Doctor’s Provincial Medical Lead (Alberta) will be responsible for leading the development of Alberta medical practice on the platform. They will join the MD Advisor (MDA) team to help guide Rocket Doctor’s growth.  The Provincial Medical Lead will collaborate to assist new physicians, across all provinces, with a specific focus on their province (Alberta) in coordination with the existing Alberta Lead.  They will help to grow and optimize the medical side of the company through strategic planning. </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>The primary objective of the Provincial Medical Lead is to help develop Rocket Doctor’s brand and product in their respective province;</span></li>\n<li><span>Key responsibilities include:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Supporting the Provider Success team in recruitment and retention of provincial physicians;</span></li>\n<li><span>Investigating and responding to concerns and safety issues raised by patients, PCC team, and/or providers;</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensuring Rocket Doctor’s product aligns with the goals and needs of practicing physicians from their respective province;</span></li>\n<li><span>Liaison with Provincial health authorities &amp; organizations in Alberta to ensure efficient practices for physicians;</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintaining regular communication with practicing physicians in the province, including (but not limited to) regular participation on relevant Slack channels, co-leading “All Docs on Deck” quarterly meetings and other community-building events;</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span>Other Roles (common to all MD Advisors):</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Attending and actively participating in regularly scheduled MD Advisory meetings;</span></li>\n<li><span>Assisting to onboard new physicians and familiarizing them with the Rocket Doctor platform;</span></li>\n<li><span>Helping develop and continually improve our physician handbook;</span></li>\n<li><span>Engaging with the physician advisory team and the product development team for improvement initiatives;</span></li>\n<li><span>Troubleshooting and strategic guidance around emerging physician roadblocks and challenges;</span></li>\n<li><span>Acting as a resource to physicians on the RD platform regarding billing and virtual care practices and protocols for both insured and non-insured patients; </span></li>\n<li><span>Assist in the development of communications in support of physicians and RD staff;</span></li>\n<li><span>Supporting the Patient Care Coordinators (PCC) team to ensure adequate clinical coverage for the platform;</span></li>\n<li><span>Assisting in the coordination of regular meetings and events for Rocket Doctor physicians.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>EXPECTATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Be organized, positive and uplifting. As a representative of Rocket Doctor the Physician Lead is an exemplar of how we work on our platform, perform, and interact with patients and Rocket Doctor staff;</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain a high standard of professionalism as established by the College of Physicians and Surgeons;</span></li>\n<li><span>Knowledge of our EMR, Rocket Doctor’s extensions as well as privacy requirements in the Canada/USA (HIPAA, PHIPA, PIPEDA) would be a benefit;</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all RD staff and patient correspondence;</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain a record of all decisions made;</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to work with confidential company information.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>COMPENSATION:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>The position is estimated to be an average of 4 hours per week (negotiable) and will be compensated recognizing physician value in equity (company shares) according to current Rocket Doctor policy.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Licensed to practise medicine in Alberta;</span></li>\n<li><span>Familiarity with the medical landscape in Alberta;</span></li>\n<li><span>The position requires native fluency in English; fluency in French is an advantage;</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environments;</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience in Business and/or Medical Administration is an advantage.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>WORK / TRAVEL:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Position is remote in Canada.
