This role plays a critical part in providing actionable insights through cost analysis, variance tracking, and financial reporting.</p>\n<p>This position is well-suited for <strong>early career professionals with 2–5 years of cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience</strong>, as well as <strong>recent graduates with a strong academic foundation in Accounting or Finance who are eager to develop hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment</strong>. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a collaborative, fast-paced organization.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position is onsite in Athens, GA. Relocation assistance is available. </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze product and operational costs to support decision-making and profitability initiatives.</li>\n <li>Develop, maintain, and update standard costs within the ERP system.</li>\n <li>Monitor variances between actual and standard costs; investigate and communicate significant deviations.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to support new product costing and cost rollups.</li>\n <li>Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting.</li>\n <li>Reconcile inventory balances and analyze inventory adjustments.</li>\n <li>Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing costs and margin analysis.</li>\n <li>Participate in physical inventories and assist with coordination of the annual standard cost roll.</li>\n <li>Prepare reports and dashboards summarizing financial data related to production, inventory, and material costs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with standard costing methodologies and variance analysis.</li>\n <li>Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.</li>\n <li>Understanding of inventory, production, and materials workflows.</li>\n <li>Internship, co-op, or project-based experience in cost or manufacturing accounting (for early-career candidates).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Let’s Build the Future Together</strong></p>\n<p>At ERMCO, your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your impact is real.
