The Psychiatric Safety Officer will also partner with program staff to engage with clients and patients to aid and promote safe, therapeutic environments across campus programs.<br><br><u><strong>Shifts Available: </strong></u><br>1st Shift: 7am - 3pm<br>2nd Shift: 3pm - 11pm<br>3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am<br><br><u><strong>Responsibilities Include:</strong></u><ul><li>Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence. Monitor campus for trespassers and unauthorized vehicles.</li><li>Respond to calls for assistance across campus including, but not limited to, assistance to help de-escalate situations involving patients in a therapeutically appropriate manner.</li><li>Assist in the re-direction and de-escalation of patient situations, and work to help prevent them.</li><li>Assist with safety search and inventory of belongings for new patients.</li><li>Complete patient checks upon request and document all activity as required.</li><li>Submit detailed daily activity reports (DARs) and complete Incident Reports when necessary.</li><li>Conduct security screenings with visitors.</li><li>Investigate displays or reports of suspicious activity.</li><li>Respond to security and fire alarms by investigating situations and assisting as needed.</li><li>Maintain records that reflect the facility’s safety programs.</li><li>Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Manager of Facilities, Compliance, and Safety and/or the Agency leadership concerning safety procedures.</li><li>Develop methods for coordinating security services with other departments.</li><li>Maintain active certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), CPR/FA, and other training programs as determined by Supervisor.</li><li>Maintain confidential patient/client information pursuant to HIPAA and Agency policies/procedures.</li><li>Maintain needed program specific credentialing, training, and other procedures.</li><li>Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.</li><li>Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by management.</li></ul><p><em>Wingspan Care Group (“Wingspan”) is the not-for-profit parent company of Applewood Centers, Inc., Bellefaire Jewish Children’s Bureau, Bluestone Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital, and Lifeworks.
