Full-Time Faculty, Biomedical Engineering
Position Requires Relocation to Kuwait
Classification : Faculty (Institutional Support)
Reports To : Dean, School of Engineering and Computing
Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait
Job Purpose
Teach and mentor undergraduate students in the Biomedical Engineering program within the School of Engineering and Computing. The position contributes to AIU’s mission of developing technically proficient and globally minded graduates through innovative teaching, research, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach undergraduate courses such as Biomedical Signals and Systems, Biomedical Instrumentation, and Medical Imaging
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate student projects and capstone research
• Engage in research and scholarly activities aligned with biomedical engineering
• Contribute to curriculum design, assessment, and continuous program improvement
• Participate in academic advising and student mentorship initiatives
• Serve on departmental, school, and university committees
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Strong communication and instructional skills in English (language of instruction is English)
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student success
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse faculty and student population
• Research, analytical, and technical competencies relevant to biomedical engineering
• Proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems
Education and Experience
• Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field required
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant university-level teaching experience preferred
• Active research agenda and publication record desirable
