The OTA assists in carrying out treatment plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to promote independence and participation.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising OT.</li>\n<li>Provide direct therapy services to address fine motor skills, self-care, sensory processing, and functional activities.</li>\n<li>Adapt activities, tools, and environments to meet client/student needs.</li>\n<li>Collect accurate data and document client performance for OT review.</li>\n<li>Communicate progress, challenges, and observations to the supervising OT.</li>\n<li>Support carryover of therapy strategies into classroom, home, or daily routines.</li>\n<li>Maintain equipment, therapy materials, and workspace organization.</li>\n<li>Comply with all applicable state, federal, and facility regulations, as well as ethical standards.</li>\n<li>Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.</li>\n<li>Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).</li>\n<li>State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an OTA in Illinois (or applicable state).</li>\n<li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt activities under OT direction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in school-based, pediatric, or rehabilitation settings.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of sensory integration and adaptive equipment.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with assistive technology and accessibility modifications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>School, clinic, hospital, or home-based settings depending on assignment.</li>\n<li>May require travel between locations.</li>\n<li>Position may involve lifting, positioning, or assisting clients with mobility needs.</li>\n</ul>",
