Description
The Specialist, Employee Relations, working under general direction, is responsible for the resolution of employee relations issues, such as conflicts, disputes, and disciplinary matters, with fairness and consistency in a timely manner. This role conducts daily operations including investigations, mediations, and administration of company policies and procedures related to employee relations, performance management, and workplace conduct. Additionally, the role stays updated on trends and industry practices within the employee relations domain, collaborating with teams to implement training programs, and ensuring compliance with policies. The role maintains accurate and confidential employee records and data related to employee relations matters.

Responsibilities
What you'll do...
Provide Human Resources support and guidance to BlueOval Battery Michigan team including the planning, development, launch and implementation of business strategy Assist in gaining alignment in related Human Resources processes and procedures to enable a competitive Battery Manufacturing framework and positive employee experiences Support building a strategic alignment with the partner(s) on the HR Delivery Model while driving process improvements and efficiencies to support high quality employee relations Assure the quality of assigned employee relations programs and processes including engagement surveys Collaborate well cross functionally to further the goals of the Company and Employee Relations team Advise on complex HR matters ranging from employee concerns, complaints, and disputes from inception to resolution Provide support to Talent Acquisition, Workforce Development, Employee Relations, Total Rewards, HR Information Technology, etc. as well as support in driving strategic alignment with key partners and stakeholders Ability to communicate complex ideas/findings clearly and concisely Proactively utilize data and metrics to identify employee trends and inform improvements to policy, process, and training to educate employees. Scan the external environment for regulations, best practices, and trends to be proactive and inform continuous improvement actions.

During training and initial launch, the operating pattern will be an 8-10 hour afternoon shift schedule with the potential of transitioning to a 12-hour shift schedule.
Candidates must possess full flexibility and a readiness to consistently work across all established standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules, encompassing day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or any other related discipline. 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources processes including, but not limited to, compensation planning, salaried personnel relations, hourly employee and employee relations, performance management. 5+ years of experience in employee coaching/counseling, employee engagement, employee development, organization development and workforce planning Strong business acumen, including financial analysis Demonstrated project management skills Experience partnering with cross-functional teams Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills

Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or any other related discipline.
