    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<strong>Catholic Eldercare is seeking a Cook/Supervisor for our Long Term Care facility. </strong> This is a full-time position scheduled for 80 hours in a 2 week pay period. \n<ul>\n <li>Mon 10:30am to 7pm</li>\n <li>Tues 10:00am to 7:30pm</li>\n <li>Wed 10am to 6:30om</li>\n <li>Fri 10am to 6:30pm</li>\n <li>Every other weekend 10:00am to 6:30pm</li>\n</ul> \n<strong><u>What Catholic Eldercare offers you:</u></strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive wages, credit for experience </li>\n <li>Paid holidays & PTO.</li>\n <li>Benefits eligibility to full time employees (56+ hours) - health, dental, vision, LTD, STD, and life insurance</li>\n <li>Located on bus line</li>\n <li>A Community of Care – we live and work our values and offer a friendly, collaborative work environment</li>\n</ul> \n<strong><u>About our community:</u></strong>Catholic Eldercare is a community of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis offering services in assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care, and adult day services.\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>The Cook:\n<ul>\n <li>Is a key team member of our Dietary Team.   </li>\n <li>Answers and reports directly to Executive Chef in addition to Director.</li>\n <li>Preps according to production sheets and provides general kitchen support.</li>\n <li>Supervises dining staff and works with other cooks on staff in preparation of meals as assigned.</li>\n <li>Performs all duties in a manner that is consistent with quality standards, infection control practices and safety measures established by the nursing home, which includes using Standard Precautions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Three (3) years culinary experience required. Preferred commissary or institutional kitchen experience.</li>\n <li>One (1) or more years experience in a Supervisor role. </li>\n <li>Culinary degree preferred.</li>\n <li>Must have professional understanding of all federal, state and local food service regulations pursuant to Food Manager Sanitation Certification.</li>\n <li>Must have and maintain Food Manager Sanitation Certification.</li>\n <li>Attend to creative, exciting food and production skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain operations of Dining Services department.</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical demands of position including visual and auditory acuity, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, and standing. </li>\n <li>Ability to work with colleagues and residents from diverse backgrounds.</li>\n</ul> \n<em>Catholic Eldercare is an equal opportunity employer.
