This position has the ability to become a Driller after solid performance and company paid training.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Driller Assistant Essential&#160;Functions:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Assists driller in all aspects of the drilling operation.</li>\n\t<li>Loading and unloading for drilling projects</li>\n\t<li>Preparing boring logs and sample jars prior to job.</li>\n\t<li>Filling sample jars in the field.</li>\n\t<li>Completing boring logs in the field and collecting samples from the soil sampler.</li>\n\t<li>Driving the support vehicle to job sites.</li>\n\t<li>Assist driller during drilling operation with setting up drill rig, carrying augers and hooking them up to the drill rig and drill stem, cleaning split-spoon samplers between sample intervals, shoveling auger cuttings during drilling operation, and backfilling borings at the end of the drilling operation.</li>\n\t<li>Work to independently inspect and complete routine maintenance of equipment.</li>\n\t<li>Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.</li>\n\t<li>Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.</li>\n</ul>",
