The Residency Associate Program Director serves as administrative leader for St. Mary's Medical Center's graduate medical education Internal Medicine Residency Program, and assists in leading staff in the operational and financial management of the program. The Associate Program Director will be accountable for the development, administration, and successful continuation of the residency program. The individual will promote and maintain an environment conducive to instruction and learning.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is <strong>50% Clinical and 50% Administrative</strong>.  Physician must have experience working the inpatient floors as a hospitalist since this will be a large part of the role.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Primary Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The Associate Program Director is responsible for the oversight and direct supervision of the Internal Medicine Residency Program and is accountable for all program outcomes attained through the leadership and administrative oversight of the residency program</li>\n <li>Responsible for all aspects of program development and growth</li>\n <li>Identifies and establishes meaningful educational support relationships with residency, fellowship outreach and other training programs.</li>\n <li>Ensures that learning objectives of the program are accomplished through an appropriate blend of supervised patient care responsibilities, and clinical teaching.</li>\n <li>Ensure residency is in full ACGME, Joint Commission, PCMH and other regulatory body compliance</li>\n <li>Recruits, determines qualifications, and calibrates residency faculty</li>\n <li>Participates in resident recruitment; overseeing resident scholarly activity; ensuring the quality of clinical education, including the maintenance and development of curricula; and working directly with residents to ensure appropriate milestone development, while meeting ACGME and other regulatory body requirements</li>\n <li>Collaborates with academic consortium to develop and ensure quality curriculum</li>\n <li>Develop outcomes that identify measurable behaviors reflective of the defined area of practice which describe the knowledge, skills and affective behaviors participants gain upon completion of the program.</li>\n <li>Identify key indicators to annually monitor and measure the achievement of the program’s mission, goals and outcomes.</li>\n <li>Collaborates to develop and maintain residency budget</li>\n <li>Ensures residency policies and procedures align with the policies and procedures of Prime Healthcare</li>\n <li>Collaborates to ensure alignment between residency program and Medical Administration</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>St. Mary's Medical Center supports its team members with:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical benefits, dental and vision</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan </li>\n <li>Life insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, and Short- and Long-Term Disability</li>\n <li>Medical Malpractice Insurance including Tail Coverage</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Account</li>\n <li>Paid Days Off </li>\n <li>CME Allowance</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Successful Candidates Will Have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in administrative, core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program required.</li>\n   <li>M.D. or D.O. degree required.</li>\n   <li>Board-certified in Internal Medicine</li>\n   <li>Actively Licensed or willing to acquire License in State of Missouri (Required)</li>\n   <li>Ideal candidates will have experience as a Core Faculty, Associate Director or Director of an Internal Medicine Residency Training Program.</li>\n   <li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching in a residency program preferred.</li>\n   <li>This position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies ( ACGME) as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.</li>\n   <li>Must possess a passion for resident and student teaching and a commitment to caring for the urban, underserved patient population</li>\n   <li>Operational management, including budget preparation, experience in administrative support of a department, and demonstrated ability to manage detailed projects.</li>\n   <li>History of scholarly activities and research</li>\n   <li>Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills</li>\n   <li>A creative thinker with a demonstrated passion for teaching and learning</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Employment Status</h2>Full Time\n<h2>Shift</h2>Days\n<h2>Equal Employment Opportunity</h2>\n<p>Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
