At Goode Company the Host is key to making that happen. You understand the fine balance of service and help provide exceptional service to our customers in a timely, courteous, efficient, and accurate manner. The Host will manage the seating charts/systems as well as relay pertinent information regarding guest requests to servers. The Restaurant Host/Hostess supervises and coordinates the activities of the dining room staff to ensure fast and courteous service to our guests. Our Host are polite and friendly to guests, and co-workers alike, and understand the importance of maintaining Goode Company&#39;s high sanitation standards. You always keep your workstation clean and sanitary, because you know it is a direct reflection on you.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><ul type=\"square\"><li>Provide a hospitable welcome and genuine &ldquo;Thank you&rdquo; to all guest</li><li>Welcome guests with a warm greeting upon arrival and a genuine &ldquo;Thank you&rdquo; as they exit</li><li>Always acknowledge guest&rsquo;s right-of-way and actively assists guests with directions or special requests</li><li>Open doors for guests entering or leaving the restaurant</li><li>Maintain clean entryway, assist with table turn-over when needed</li><li>Provide guests with accurate estimated waiting time</li><li>Accommodate special seating requests for guest whenever possible</li><li>Notify server/manager of any special events the guests are celebrating upon being seated</li><li>Once seated, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server&rsquo;s name</li><li>Assist customers with merchandise purchases</li><li>Communicate with Servers, Bartenders &amp; Management to maintain maximum efficiency of the restaurant</li><li>Maintain a consistent system for wait lists and monitor table turnover</li><li>Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies</li></ul><p>REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:</p><ul type=\"square\"><li>One year of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting with some leadership responsibilities.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, verbal and written</li><li>Flexible availability: open to working day shift, evening shift, weekends, and holidays</li><li>Ability to remain on feet for a prolonged period</li><li>Well-groomed and neatly dressed</li><li>Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor</li><li>OpenTable experience preferred</li><li>Able to work in a standing and moving position for extended periods of time</li></ul><p>BENEFITS:</p><ul><li>Medical membership with preventive and diagnostic coverage during the first year (part-time)</li><li>Access to wellness resources and support services</li><li>Eligibility for full medical benefits after 12 months of consistent full-time hours.</li><li>Food Discounts</li><li>Weekly Payroll</li><li>Base Pay Rate + Tips&nbsp;</li></ul><p><em>Goode Co. is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate against an employee or applicant based upon race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, or veteran&rsquo;s status or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.
