If a position becomes available that aligns with your qualifications, our recruitment team will contact you.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Technica Corporation is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, self-directed individual to fill the Air Force Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM)<strong> Lead Wireless Engineer </strong>position. This position will oversee all wireless network aspects of the TO and serve as the main POC for all wireless networking issues related to this TO. </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, implement, and sustain a modernized wireless network infrastructure aligned with USG technical requirements.</li>\n <li>Support the establishment of a Network Integration Lab (NIL) and the associated activities to certify wireless network design before deployment to the target site.</li>\n <li>Develop network designs based on DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) formats.</li>\n <li>Support PMO and the local base Communications Squadron.</li>\n <li>Work closely with the PMO/specified personnel to facilitate effective planning and timely execution of critical objectives.</li>\n <li>Support the PM with subcontractor interface requirements.</li>\n <li>Notify the USG PMO and the TO PM immediately of any technical problems or issues.</li>\n <li>Provide Tier 3 advanced wireless engineering support after production network transitions to the sustainment phase.</li>\n <li>Support the preparation and delivery of engineering documents before submitting to the USG. This includes, but is not limited to, Site Preparation Requirements and Installation Plan (SPRIP), previously known as, Telecommunication Systems Installation Plan (TSIP), Preliminary Integration Review (PIR), Critical Integration Review (CIR), Integration Plan Acceptance (IPA), System/Subsystem Design Document (S/SDD), Qualification Test Plans and Procedures, and Assessment and Authorization documents to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The position will be based in Sterling, VA, or at other select locations as required by the contract. When the program transitions to the NOC / ITF, this position may be located at that facility, to be determined at a later date. This job may support a hybrid work schedule. The final approved work schedule arrangement will be coordinated with the hiring manager. This position may require 10%-20% travel.</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility</strong></li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in a technical-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field</li>\n <li>Minimum of 8 years’ related experience</li>\n <li>Have one or more of the following Network engineering technical certifications provided within DoD 8140/DCWF and/or equivalent DoD training.\n  <ul>\n   <li>SecurityX/CASP+; CCNA, CCNP Security, CCSP, CEH, Cloud+, CND, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT, GICSP, GSEC, Network+, Security+ or SSCP.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Prior experience with designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networks to include hardware (switches, routers, wireless access points, wireless controllers), network management systems (NMS), wireless access control, Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS), Quality of Service (QoS), network support services (timing, logging, etc.), and ISP/OSP distribution systems (DS) (fiber and copper cables and infrastructure)</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience with:\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Wi-Fi Standards & Protocols</strong>: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7) fundamentals and deployment best practices.</li>\n   <li><strong>Wireless Site Surveys</strong>: Predictive modeling, active/passive site analysis, spectrum mapping, interference detection, AP placement optimization.</li>\n   <li><strong>RF Fundamentals</strong>: RF propagation, signal strength, channel planning, co-channel interference, antenna types & patterns.</li>\n   <li><strong>Wireless Security</strong>: WPA3, 802.1X/EAP, secure guest access, PSK vs certificate, rogue/AP detection.</li>\n   <li><strong>Wireless Controllers</strong>: Deployment and tuning of controllers (Cisco DNA Center, Aruba AirWave/Controllers).</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Familiarization with DoD implementations, including cybersecurity standards, risk management framework, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and ATO.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>5 years’ experience working on Department of Air Force (DAF) programs and/or knowledge of DAF-relevant projects.</li>\n <li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>About Technica:</strong> At Technica Corporation, our goal is to provide exceptional professional services and innovative technology solutions that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.
