With approximately <strong>30+ professionals</strong>, we combine technical excellence with a strong team culture and regional expertise.</p>\n <p>&nbsp;</p>\n <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>\n <p>EXP is seeking a <strong>Senior Civil Engineer (P.Eng.)</strong> to lead the <strong>design, delivery, and oversight of municipal infrastructure projects</strong>. This role is ideal for an experienced civil engineer with strong <strong>technical leadership, project management, and client-facing skills</strong>, and a solid background in <strong>roads, servicing, drainage, and water resources</strong>.</p>\n <p>&nbsp;</p>\n <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n <p>As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Lead <strong>civil engineering design and reviews</strong> for municipal infrastructure projects, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Roads and transportation corridors</li>\n    <li>Grading and earthworks</li>\n    <li>Stormwater management and drainage</li>\n    <li>Water, wastewater, and utilities</li>\n    <li>Foundations and site servicing</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Ensure compliance with <strong>municipal, provincial, and federal codes, standards, and regulations</strong></li>\n  <li>Prepare, review, and approve <strong>engineering deliverables</strong>, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Calculations and design briefs</li>\n    <li>Drawings and specifications</li>\n    <li>Technical reports</li>\n    <li>Tender and contract packages</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Manage <strong>project scopes, budgets, schedules</strong>, and deliverables, providing progress reporting and risk management</li>\n  <li>Coordinate <strong>multidisciplinary teams</strong> and liaise with:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Clients and project stakeholders</li>\n    <li>Municipalities and regulatory agencies</li>\n    <li>Utilities, landowners, and approval authorities</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Perform <strong>QA/QC reviews</strong> and provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and technologists</li>\n  <li>Review contractor proposals, shop drawings, and technical submissions for compliance</li>\n  <li>Support <strong>construction and contract administration</strong>, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>RFIs and submittals</li>\n    <li>Site inspections and field reviews</li>\n    <li>Commissioning support</li>\n    <li>As-built drawing review</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Conduct <strong>site investigations and geotechnical assessments</strong> and evaluate alternative technical solutions</li>\n  <li>Ensure seamless <strong>integration across disciplines</strong> (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Environmental)</li>\n  <li>Maintain strong, proactive <strong>client communication</strong> throughout all project phases</li>\n </ul>\n <p>&nbsp;</p>\n <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p>\n <p>The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and leadership experience in <strong>civil engineering</strong>, including:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li><strong>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering</strong></li>\n  <li><strong>Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario</strong> or eligible for licensure</li>\n  <li>Demonstrated experience in <strong>municipal infrastructure engineering</strong>, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Roads and transportation infrastructure</li>\n    <li>Water and wastewater systems</li>\n    <li>Stormwater management and drainage</li>\n    <li>Bridges or structures (<i>asset</i>)</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Extensive knowledge of <strong>engineering regulations, codes, and standards</strong>, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Municipal and provincial standards</li>\n    <li>TAC, AASHTO, CSA</li>\n    <li>Canadian Building Code</li>\n    <li>Environmental and permitting requirements</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Proficiency with <strong>civil design and analysis software</strong>, such as:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>AutoCAD Civil 3D</li>\n    <li>MicroStation</li>\n    <li>Bentley InRoads / OpenRoads</li>\n    <li>BIM and GIS tools</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Strong expertise in <strong>municipal servicing, road design, grading, drainage, and water resource management</strong></li>\n  <li>Experience delivering <strong>preliminary and detailed design</strong> projects</li>\n  <li>Proven ability to <strong>lead multidisciplinary teams</strong> and coordinate with external stakeholders and regulators</li>\n  <li>Excellent <strong>communication and client-facing skills</strong>, including facilitation of meetings and workshops</li>\n  <li>Strong <strong>project management experience</strong>, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk control</li>\n  <li>Field experience with <strong>site inspections, compliance reviews, and construction support</strong></li>\n  <li>Knowledge of <strong>municipal asset management principles</strong> (<i>considered an asset</i>)</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<p><br>\n  The salary range for this role is between $100K - $150K.
