We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a temporary full-time position to directly support laboratory research in the Corey Lab in the Vaccine and Infectious Diseases Division (VIDD).  The <strong>Lab Aide</strong> will work closely with Dr. Karsten Eichholz on an ongoing study to develop chimeric antigen receptor T cells.  They will be responsible for performing laboratory experiments, interpreting the results, and communicating results to Dr. Eichholz.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Help to clone plasmid constructs.</li>\n <li>Help with lentiviral vector production and determine their titers using flow cytometry.</li>\n <li>Communicate progress and results to project PI.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent with an interest in the sciences. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Documented evidence of HIPAA training, and be willing to complete additional research training. </li>\n <li>Excellent computer skills, including the ability to use MS word, PowerPoint and Excel.  </li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills and an excellent work ethic are required.</li>\n <li>Flexible and able to work independently without supervision.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.</p>\n<p>Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees access to a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program, paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked), and prorated paid holidays (up to 11 days per year).</p>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) Employer.
