We offer experience at the intersection of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">business and government</span>, helping clients – world-leading multinational conglomerates, financial institutions, industry associations, NGOs, and other civil society and non-profit organizations – understand how to effectively interact with Japanese policy and government stakeholders.</p>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Internship Structure &amp; Benefits</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This is a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">hands-on, in-person internship</span> that runs <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">three times per week over a period of three months</span>.<br>Successful candidates will receive a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">transportation and meal allowance of ¥5,000 per day</span> to support their participation.</p>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Key Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A demonstrated passion for public policy and politics</li>\n<li>Education or experience in public policy, political science, international relations, or economics</li>\n<li>Understanding of, or a strong desire to understand, Japan’s policy-making process and politics</li>\n<li>Excellent research skills</li>\n<li>Interest in international business</li>\n<li>Sound judgment and cultural sensitivity</li>\n<li>Ability to take a creative and proactive approach to solving complex policy-related challenges</li>\n<li>Self-starter</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">High-level of Japanese and English proficiency are a must</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public policy research and analysis, report writing, editing, and strategic development</li>\n<li>Collaborating closely with project leaders in implementing strategic outreach and engagement plans with government officials, Diet members, media, and other key policy stakeholders</li>\n<li>Liaising with colleagues to ensure client satisfaction</li>\n<li>Assisting in taking meeting minutes</li>\n<li>Assisting in translations of client-related documents</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Education</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently studying for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">bachelor’s degree or higher</span> in public policy, political science, international relations, economics, or other related fields</li>\n<li>Recent graduates looking for opportunities are also encouraged to apply</li>\n</ul>",
