Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated After‑Hours Chaplain to join our Spiritual Care team. This non‑FTE position provides vital spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff of Swedish Health Services during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. As an essential resource outside of normal business hours, you will offer comfort during moments of crisis, serve as a calming presence, and help individuals navigate challenging experiences with dignity and care.
In this role, you will also act as a liaison between patients, families, and community clergy to ensure appropriate spiritual resources are available. Work is performed on an intermittent, as‑needed basis, offering flexibility while providing meaningful, mission‑driven service during critical times.
Key Responsibilities
The after‑hours chaplain also acts as liaison between patients/families and community clergy. Work performed is expected to be outside of normal business hours on an intermittent and sporadic basis to provide necessary after‑hours services to patients, family members, and/or staff. Required Qualifications:
Completion of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) 1 year in ministry Experience in a medical setting Preferred Qualifications:
