Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Advise Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Inform dispatcher when the job is started, finished, or interrupted. Be particularly attentive to repair orders on vehicles marked “RUSH” or “CUSTOMER WAITING”.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"> Complete and maintain documentation of work performed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Road-test vehicles to quality-check work performed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Supervise the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned to you by management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"> Attend factory-sponsored training classes. Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"> Keep the shop area neat, clean, and free of safety hazards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Comply with Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"> Assist in creating quotes for additional work required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"> Keep up to date on online training as required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"> Follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately, report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Must be a fully licensed Technician.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Working knowledge of automotive equipment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Possess strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in order to maintain optimal customer satisfaction.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">A highly self-motivated and organized individual.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Well-developed interpersonal skills to effectively work with other members of the Service Department team.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Must be committed to consistently delivering high-quality work.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">A valid Canadian driver’s license, and the ability to provide drivers abstract for review. </span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Internal Candidates MUST apply by filling out the <a href=\"https://intranet.openroadautogroup.com/forms/viewform.cfm?formid=191\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Internal Endorsement Form</a> on the Intranet.
