This position is responsible for transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips as scheduled.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Pickup and deliver residents safely to all scheduled activities where transportation is needed.</li>\n <li>Open vehicle doors and greet residents and guests.</li>\n <li>Carefully help residents and guests who need assistance. Retrieve/Replace walkers, wheelchairs, etc. and assist as needed.</li>\n <li>Make miscellaneous runs for the office to the bank, printer, post office, etc. as needed.</li>\n <li>Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out.</li>\n <li>Maintains an accurate and current log of trips and mileage for Cypress vehicles.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n <li>Minimum of six to twelve months’ experience as a bus/van driver required.</li>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years or older and have a valid driver license and maintain a “clean” driving record.</li>\n <li>Must have CDL with “P” endorsement.</li>\n <li>Ability to count and perform simple logic exercises to properly park and retrieve vehicles.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Pleasant, tactful, courteous, and cooperative with both members and other employees.</li>\n <li>Ability to fully comprehend others and communicate in a respectful, understanding, and empathetic manner demonstrating tolerance and exemplary customer service with members, families, guests, visitors, peers, supervisors, subordinates and any other outside contacts.</li>\n <li>Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written&nbsp;instructions in English.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>This position requires sitting 50% of the day and must be able to frequently stand, stoop, bend, squat throughout a shift and be able to stand/walk for up to 50% of the work day. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. without assistance and carry for 15 feet.&nbsp; Exposure to inclement weather conditions i.e., rain, cold, heat, etc. Must be able to frequently get in and out of automobiles and drive short distances for member pick-up and deliveries.
