Together, we secure everything from family garages to the world's most iconic stadiums and skyscrapers.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We currently have an opening for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Staff Accountant</span> in our<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> Mason, Ohio</span> location.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain general ledgers of relevant operation companies.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare all required journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely closings.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze, identify and quantify balance sheet accounts with exposure and communicate findings to management.</li>\n<li>Work with operating companies and corporate personnel to ensure proper documentation for and approval of all transactions.</li>\n<li>Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.</li>\n<li>Assist in the review of monthly income statements, balance sheets and statements of cash flow.</li>\n<li>Identify profit potential and cash flow and RONA improvement opportunities.</li>\n<li>Monitor transactions for unusual items and, using relevant accounting literature as necessary, research those transactions.</li>\n<li>Assist in the development and maintenance of system-generated reports and use such reports to expedite monthly closings, account analyses, and financial statement preparation.</li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of quarterly workpapers and related variance analyses for Griffon personnel.</li>\n<li>Prepare annual audit workpapers.</li>\n<li>Maintain and update appropriate policies, procedures and related documentation.</li>\n<li>This position will interface with the plant workforce and management team as well as corporate personnel which requires strong communication and cross-collaboration</li>\n<li>Complete additional tasks as requested.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting</li>\n<li>At least 5-years of financial or accounting experience</li>\n<li>Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing cost accounting</li>\n<li>Practical experience with ERP systems</li>\n<li>Strong collaboration, communication and must be a self-starter</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CPA or CMA is a plus</li>\n<li>Oracle ERP Applications experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Choose a Career with Us?</span></span></p>\n<p>We don't just manufacture doors; we engineer the \"front door\" of the American dream and the security of global commerce.
