We are looking forward to the dynamic impact you will make by joining our team as a Radiation Therapist!</p>\n<p>*Learn more about the recent OHSU Knight Cancer Institute record $2 billion donation.*</p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<p>As a Radiation Therapist you will administer radiation therapy accurately as prescribed and planned by a physician, and reinforce the Radiation Oncologist's advice to patients regarding reactions to treatment and their care. This position will require you to observe the clinical progress of the radiation oncology patient, use clinical decision-making skills to recognize and report any signs of complications, unusual reactions, and events to the nursing staff and/or Radiation Oncologist. Additional duties could include assisting with the training, mentoring, and/or directly supervision of Radiation Therapy students.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated experience working as a Radiation Therapist. This includes the ability to safely and effectively operate a variety of computerized simulation and treatment machines, and the ability to perform all necessary machine and treatment quality assurances, and be able and willing to work in all areas within the unit. This position requires professional conduct and the ability to effectively communicate and interact within clinical settings with a variety of individuals in written and oral formats.</p>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program that meets current qualifications to take and pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) board examinations in radiation therapy upon hire.</li>\n <li>Student candidates must obtain the RT(T)(ARRT) certification within 6 months of hire date.</li>\n <li>Candidates must have a current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) temporary license for student hires and a permanent license for registered hires.</li>\n <li>Those hired prior to 7/1/18 are not required to meet the educational nor experience requirements.</li>\n <li>Positions with in-person patient care: BLS certificate within 30 days of hire or prior to independent practice, whichever comes first.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>One year (or more) working in the field post-graduation.</li>\n <li>Experience with the following equipment: Varian, Elekta, Tomotherapy, Mosaiq, ExacTrac, Calypso, Philips CT, and VisionRT.  </li>\n <li>Familiarity with IORT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TSEI, and HDR.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<p><strong>This position comes with fabulous benefits!</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Additional need incentive pay</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental, Vision insurance - Covered 100% for full-time employees and 88% for dependents, and $25K of term life insurance provided at no cost to the employee</li>\n <li>Several retirement plans (401a/403b and pension plans)</li>\n <li>Vacation - up to 200 hours per year, depending on length of service</li>\n <li>Sick Leave - up to 96 hours per year</li>\n <li>8 paid holidays per year</li>\n <li>Substantial tri-met and c-tram discounts</li>\n <li>FSA/HSA options</li>\n <li>On-site gym</li>\n <li>Employee assistance program (EAP)</li>\n <li>Career Center</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Investing in Your Future:</strong> We believe in supporting your educational and career goals.
