    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>General Summary</strong>: Provides instruction and support to Preschool and Lower School children through innovative instruction for French language acquisition and competency, in alignment with the School&rsquo;s curriculum goals. Leads students towards fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth and maturation. Performs complex professional work while motivating students to develop skills in the subject area of the French culture and language.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Increases the academic performance of all students by creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Plans instruction consistent with the School&rsquo;s approved curriculum in French, oral proficiency, and the World Language Program.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Creates a supportive learning environment for all students that encourage social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self-motivation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Differentiates instruction in mixed ability classrooms.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Diagnoses, intervenes, monitors, and adjusts instruction.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collects, analyzes, and reports data.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Works collaboratively with world language team to advise, plan, and implement effective lessons and interventions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepares for classes as assigned and shows evidence of lesson preparation upon request.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Establishes appropriate plans for substitute teachers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develops appropriate formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and assess student learning.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provides regular feedback to students and parents, and uses assessment data to make instructional decisions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Works collaboratively with administrators to strengthen the Preschool &amp; Lower School curriculum.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Initiates, implements, and coordinates a variety of program components which will further enrich the Preschool &amp; Lower School World Language Program.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Completes other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Preschool &amp; Lower School Administration.</li></ul></div><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong content knowledge in French and elementary education; including best teaching practices; dual language preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to interpret data in order to improve student learning.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong classroom management skills with the ability and desire to work with a diverse student body.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work collaboratively with others and maintain positive professional relationships.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent writing and communication skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent organizational skills with a strong degree of self- direction and motivation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High level of maturity, confidentiality, and assertiveness.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Capable of competently operating technology.</li></ul></div><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in French or French Education; Master&rsquo;s Degree preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Dual language certification not required, but preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">3-5 years&#39; teaching experience preferred.</li></ul></div></div>\n",
