Days and times can vary.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Our Team:</strong></p>\n<p>Jackson Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Jackson,MS is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the nation. Our nursing team provides compassionate, high quality safe and efficient medication dispensing to patients that are seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Job as a Pharmacist:</strong></p>\n<p>The Pharmacist is responsible for the accountability of prescription medications to patients and maintenance of accurate records; provides expertise in the safe use of prescription medications in an outpatient clinic setting<strong>.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fills prescriptions, verifies instructions from physicians on the proper amounts of medication to give to patients;</li>\n <li>Checks whether prescriptions will interact negatively with other drugs that a patient is taking or any medical conditions the patient has;</li>\n <li>Instructs patients on how and when to take a prescribed medicine and informs them about potential side effects they may experience from taking the medicine;</li>\n <li>Advises patients about general health topics, such as diet, exercise, managing stress, and on other issues, such as what equipment or supplies would be best to treat a health problem;</li>\n <li>Teaches other healthcare practitioners about proper medication therapies for patients;</li>\n <li>Completes insurance forms and work with insurance companies to ensure that patients get the medicines they need;</li>\n <li>May oversee the work of pharmacy technicians and/or pharmacists in training (interns)</li>\n <li>Keeps required federal, state, local or corporate records, and does other administrative tasks necessary for the professional practice of pharmacy in a clinic; and,</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Eligible positions may qualify for student loan forgiveness through HRSA, depending on clinic site eligibility. Check your eligibility here: HRSA Eligibility</em></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Your Education, Skills and Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an accredited college or university required</li>\n <li>Prefer previous experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment.</li>\n <li>No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment.</li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including the safe handling, administration, and documentation of methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.</p></li>\n <li><p>Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., DEA, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards) related to controlled substances and patient care.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, counselors, case managers, and support staff, to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.</p></li>\n <li><p>Understanding of clinical best practices related to substance use treatment, including trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses/Certifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a current Pharmacist License in the state of Mississippi</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-CTC</p>",
