This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment including wire drawing, bunching, extrusion and jacketing lines while minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p><h3><br></h3><h3>Equipment &amp; Facilities Maintenance</h3><p>· Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all manufacturing and facility equipment.</p><p>· Ensure optimal performance and uptime of wire drawing, extrusion, stranding, cabling, wrapping, and spooling equipment.</p><p>· Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.</p><p>· Oversee maintenance of utilities such as compressors, chillers, cooling systems, and power distribution.</p><h3><br></h3><h3>Leadership &amp; Team Management</h3><p>· Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians.</p><p>· Assign daily work, manage shift coverage, and ensure timely response to breakdowns.</p><p>· Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.</p><h3><br></h3><h3>Planning &amp; Reliability</h3><p>· Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules using a CMMS.</p><p>· Analyze equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions.</p><p>· Track maintenance KPIs such as downtime and maintenance costs.</p><h3><br></h3><h3>Safety &amp; Compliance</h3><p>· Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and environmental regulations.</p><p>· Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash, and machine guarding procedures.</p><p>· Support audits and inspections (ISO 9001, customer audits as applicable).</p><h3><br></h3><h3>Budgeting &amp; Inventory</h3><p>· Prepare and manage the maintenance operating and capital budgets.</p><p>· Control spare parts inventory for motors, drives, dies, tooling, bearings, and consumables.</p><p>· Work with vendors and OEMs to source parts, service contracts, and upgrades.</p><h3><br></h3><h3>Continuous Improvement &amp; Projects</h3><p>· Support lean manufacturing, TPM, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives.</p><p>· Lead equipment upgrades, new line installations, and facility expansion projects.</p><p>· Collaborate with production and engineering to improve equipment efficiency and product quality.</p>",
