You’ll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team to deliver personalized psychiatric services, ensuring continuity of care across the post-acute and long-term care continuum. Your expertise will empower residents, support families, and improve outcomes for an underserved population.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Psychiatric Care and Rounding</strong>: Conduct patient rounds and manage psychiatric care within SNF, LTC, AL, and IL settings.</li>\n <li><strong>Collaborative Care Coordination</strong>: Partner with attending physicians, consulting specialists, referral sources, and facility staff to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.</li>\n <li><strong>Patient Evaluation and Management</strong>: Assess and manage the mental health needs of residents, perform physical exams, and gather complete medical histories.</li>\n <li><strong>Diagnostics and Therapeutics</strong>: Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests, make preliminary diagnoses, and develop effective therapeutic care plans for mental and physical health.</li>\n <li><strong>Medication and Treatment Management</strong>: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments; provide injections as necessary.</li>\n <li><strong>Patient and Family Education</strong>: Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and preventive mental health practices.</li>\n <li><strong>Acute Care Collaboration</strong>: Work alongside physicians and facility teams to address acute psychiatric and medical needs promptly and effectively.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>What We Offer</h3>\n<p>We know that caring for seniors takes more than just medical expertise—it takes support, tools, and opportunities to grow. Part-time employees may be eligible for limited benefits as applicable.</em> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).</li>\n <li>Active DEA license.</li>\n <li>BLS and ACLS certification.</li>\n <li>Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities. Depending on the amount of travel required, Curana may in future determine that a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required. If so, you will be provided with thirty (30) days notice of this requirement.
