The mechanic is responsible for maintaining production, quality and safety standards by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.</span></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><br></span></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><strong><u><span style=\"color: black;\">ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:</span></u></strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black;\">Above all, ensure that safe practices are followed in all aspects of daily activities.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Diagnose / troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues accurately the first time.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, etc. to assist with repairs and/or diagnostics.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Diagnose complex electric, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Remove, replace, and repair major components of milling machines, skid-steer loaders, street sweepers, heavy and light trucks, etc.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Perform routine maintenance services on heavy equipment.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Conduct annual vehicle inspections as per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Perform repairs on-site in the field as needed.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Maintain degree of professionalism and customer satisfaction for employees operating the equipment and a positive customer experience.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Actively communicate with the Shop Manager, other mechanics, operators, etc. to ensure repair and maintenance services are provided in a timely manner.&nbsp;</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Ensure part needs are communicated to Shop Manager to ensure proper inventory levels.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"line-height: 115%; color: black;\">Maintain ability to work overtime, nights and weekends particularly during the high season summer months.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black;\">High School Diploma or equivalent.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black;\">Prior experience welding heavy machinery.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black;\">Experience and excellent knowledge of the repair and maintenance of heavy duty construction equipment;</span><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38);\">&nbsp;a minimum of 3 years of experience preferred.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black; background: white;\">Experience with roto-milling and/or related equipment highly preferred.&nbsp;</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black; background: white;\">Ability to work long hours outdoors and will be on their feet all day while either walking or standing.&nbsp;</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black;\">Detail oriented, organized, and capable of working independently and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black;\">Reasonable level of computer literacy.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black;\">Valid driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record; CDL preferred.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><span style=\"color: black;\">Knowledge of organizational and safety operations and procedures, safety methods and practices.</span></li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif;
