Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Pay</u></strong>:</p><ul><li>This position may be eligible for a $2,500.00 sign-on bonus</li><li>Additional components of compensation may include:&nbsp;<ul><li>Evening and night shift differential</li><li>Weekend differential</li></ul></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Be part of something remarkable</u></strong></p><p>UW Health laboratories play an essential role in the quality and safety of patient care, performing a wide range of procedures that assist our providers with the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients and their health needs.</p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Lab Assistant – Clinical Labs</strong> to:</p><ul><li>Perform standardized and specialized phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages and ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling.</li><li>Complete specimen receiving and processing, load them onto instruments or perform the kit testing, and associated instrument maintenance (temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing, mailing, faxing).&nbsp;</li><li>Patient check-in and order entry of laboratory tests in the laboratory information system.</li><li>Interact daily with pathologists, physicians, technologists, clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and patients.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p>At UW Health, you will have:</p><ul><li>An excellent benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, two-week paid parental leave and adoption assistance.
