    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Summary Description</strong></p><p>Calibrates, installs, and maintains protective relays, meters and associated equipment, which will ensure efficient operation of plant, transmission, and substation systems. &nbsp; Calibrates, installs, and maintains substation equipment including high voltage breakers, disconnects, switches, transformers, and other equipment necessary for the proper operation of transmission level systems.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Prepares daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules of substation equipment and facilities.</li><li>Reviews engineering plans and coordinates modifications to the plans with Engineering.</li><li>Maintains Substation, Relay and Meter Maintenance program data files for tracking of equipment.</li><li>Maintains Substation, Relay and Meter Maintenance records, Oil Dissolved Gas Analysis, Relay Test and Meter test program data.</li><li>Maintains maintenance equipment data forms for specialized testing of equipment.</li><li>Coordinates with the Senior Engineer, Senior Substation Technician and Senior Relay Technician on entering and filing of maintenance data.</li><li>Maintains inventory list of equipment, equipment parts and materials, and requisitions equipment parts, materials and equipment needed for maintenance projects.</li><li>Performs testing of substation, relay and meter equipment and prepares necessary reports.</li><li>Performs repairs of department specialized tools and equipment.</li><li>Ensures the enforcement of and compliance with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety, FERC/NERC/SERC and environmental standards and regulations applicable to the job function.</li><li>Assists in building and ground maintenance.</li><li>Holds clearances and switches for line and substation equipment.</li><li>Performs in-plant I &amp; C and electrical testing or maintenance as may be required in support of the plant staff.</li><li>Performs line inspections of SECI Transmission Facilities for emergency outage cause identification and recommended repair.</li><li>Troubleshoots and repairs relaying, electrical circuitry, and instrumentation equipment as assigned at plants and member substations.</li><li>Maintains metering and telemetering circuits at MGS and member substations.</li><li>Interfaces supervisory control remote terminal units at MGS and member substations.</li><li>Performs relay and control circuit changes and additions at MGS and member substations.</li><li>Tests carrier, tone equipment, and other pilot channels testing and maintenance at MGS and member substations.</li><li>Performs function test of substation control circuits at MGS and member substations.</li><li>Performs other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><strong>NERC Compliance</strong>: Performs NERC Compliance Program roles if/as designated in Seminole&#39;s Standard Ownership Matrix (SOM) including ongoing evidence retention in &quot;audit-ready&quot; form. You should also be familiar with Seminole&#39;s Enterprise Internal Compliance Program (ENT-GCD-RGC-EP-054) to further your understanding of Seminole&#39;s compliance program and your duties and responsibilities in the SOM.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Qualifications and Education Requirements</strong></p><p>Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Technology or related area or four (4) years of experience in in calibrating, installing, and in-service testing of non-microprocessor and microprocessor protective systems, and working knowledge of substation electrical equipment.
