    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>As a part-time instructor you will provide instruction within our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic program. Courses will be taught in the Blackboard learning management system platform in a lab environment to meet the needs of this growing industry. Instructors need to lead courses that engage and prepare students for careers in their area of study. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Provide instruction for assigned classes.</li>\n<li>Remain current with industry needs and assure graduate outcomes that meet the workplace expectations.</li>\n<li>Engage in ongoing student learning assessment to determine effectiveness of instruction and curriculum.</li>\n<li>Create a classroom/lab environment that is respectful of diversity and demonstrates a commitment to multiculturalism.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate student records and reports as requested by administrative offices.</li>\n<li>Identify students needing assistance and refer students to Student Services. Collaborate with Student Services and the Academic Support Division staff members to help students adjust to the learning environment.</li>\n<li>Remain current on developments in the teaching field so that instruction is delivered for a variety of learning styles, uses the latest supportive technology and utilizes alternative delivery methods.</li>\n<li>Prepare and update course syllabi (using BTC guidelines) for each course taught.</li>\n<li>Assist in the enforcement of college regulations and report student conduct violations to administration.</li>\n<li>Hold weekly office hours, and other duties required to meet student, employer, and college needs.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<li>Bachelor Degree or Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Engineer, Millwright, or related field.</li>\n<li>Work Related Experience\n <ul>\n  <li>If Bachelor Degree, 2 years or 4,000 hours of Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Engineering, or Millwright experience. </li>\n  <li>If Associate Degree, 6 years or 12,000 hours of Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Engineering, or Millwright experience. </li>\n </ul></li>\n<p> </p>",
