Our products are utilized by enterprises and individuals across media, entertainment, sports, publishing, music, retail, finance, and beyond.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>The</span><span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">essential duties and responsibilities</span> </span><span>for this role will require you to do the following:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Create new APIs and services for new and existing products</span></li>\n<li><span>Contribute to development of web crawling and data processing services</span></li>\n<li><span>Refactor code base time to time</span></li>\n<li><span>Performance optimizations and cost reducing practices</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Education and work experience</span><span> requirements are:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science</span></li>\n<li><span>Minimum 8+ years of full-time hands-on experience</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong CS background</span></li>\n<li><span>A background in refactoring large-scale systems</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong experience with Selenium, Beautiful Soup and web crawling techniques</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong experience in Python for development of applications and APIs</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the </span><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">knowledge, skills, and abilities</span> </span><span>listed here:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Proven track record of launching and maintaining large-scale web products</span></li>\n<li><span>A good foundational knowledge of OOP languages, operating systems, data structures, algorithms, and complexity trade-offs</span></li>\n<li><span>Solid knowledge of SOLID, TDD principles</span></li>\n<li><span>Knowledge of Elastic Beanstalk and other AWS services</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong communications skills both written and verbal</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Extra Points</span> </span><span>for:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Experience with relational or columnar databases (like AWS Redshift)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>This position has potential to be promoted to Director or VP of Engineering for the right candidate.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>The </span><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">physical demands</span> </span><span>described here represent those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
