Board eligible/Board certified in a Primary/Family or Internal medicine specialty.  CPR certification strongly encouraged. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical degree from an accredited medical school or DO degree from an approved osteopathy school.</li>\n<li>Completed a residency for board eligibility; board certification preferred.</li>\n<li>Current valid Louisiana medical license and DEA license.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge of medical practice principles of specialty.</li>\n<li>Sensitive to the needs of people of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.</li>\n<li>Must give the same level of importance to health maintenance and disease prevention as cure and restoration.</li>\n<li>Must participate in Center’s provider staff meetings, general staff meetings/activities and Quality Assurance.</li>\n<li>Must continue to meet appropriate standards as required by the SWLA Center for Health Services and Health Provider By-Laws.</li>\n<li>Must be proficient in the use of the Centricity/ EMR and capable of creating accurate, complete medical records in a timely manner.</li>\n<li>Must fulfill all NCQA, JCAHO, and SWLA Center for Health Services EMR requirements accurately and within the allowed time frames.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Maintain patient confidentiality and patient rights</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Display punctuality and good attendance at work</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Work and communicate with patients to satisfy the patient expectations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Examine patients to determine presence of disease and to establish preventive health practices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> Maintain clinical tracking data for continuity of care</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Assist the Medical Director with the planning, management and evaluation of health care delivery at the SWLA Center for Health Services</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Provide continuous care by obtaining hospital privileges and emergency room coverage</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Actively participate in local, state and national medical associations/societies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Participate in quality assurance patient review committee</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Records on medical record using POMR system</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Collect appropriate data for clinical decision-making</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Maintain current medical records</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Develop and implement individual work plans</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">May conduct periodic formal assessments and reviews of subordinates performance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Promote health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene and methods for prevention of disease</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Participates in community education, staff in-service and committee meetings</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Exhibit judgment to prevent delays in service provision and avoid serious adverse impact on health status of individuals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Participate in SWLA Center for Health Services infection control program</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Assist in other departments/centers affiliated with SWLA Center for Health Services as needed and/or assigned</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Serve as laboratory supervisor of the on-site clinic laboratory</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Perform other related duties as assigned within the realm of clinical training/experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners in the same department.</span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">MISSION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Demonstrate the Mission and acts in ways that advance the best interest of the customers entrusted to our care.
