HaiCo is focused on building Haida owned enterprises that reflect Haida cultural values, investing in the training and mentorship of Haida Citizens, creating careers and improving the lives of Haida Citizens and the economy of Haida Gwaii. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, the housekeeper position will be responsible for the general cleaning at Haida House guest rooms and public spaces to ensure that guests receive the highest standard of cleanliness and service possible. The hours of work will include evening and weekends.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-size: 15px\">DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Follow regular cleaning schedules </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Clean assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures to established housekeeping procedures </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Wash and sanitize room showers, toilets, mirrors, and sinks </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Vacuum carpets and clean floors </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Regularly replace and restock room amenities </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Remove all used bed linens and replace with fresh linens </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Regularly check if room lighting and appliances are working and report any issues to the Head Housekeeper </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Stock and maintain cleanliness in Spa area</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Move furniture and setting up for events when required </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Empty and clean garbage and wastebaskets </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Comply with work safety practices and ensure health and safety procedures are followed </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Other related duties as required </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-size: 15px\">KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Ability to work in fast paced environment </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Organization skills  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Positive attitude, able to take direction and work in a team environment </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Knowledge of laundry operations </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Knowledge of health and safety standards  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Must be willing to work flexible hours, weekends, Evenings, and mornings</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-size: 15px\">TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Experience in housekeeping is considered an asset.  </span></li>\n</ul>",
