    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p>                                                                 </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>CIS Secure Computing is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Director of Supply Chain that encompasses all aspects of the supply chain.  This will include procurement of materials, inventory control, warehouse, picking, and the shipping/receiving departments.  The goal is to drive inventory accuracy, accurate kitting of work orders to production, and develop efficient receiving and shipping processes using Lean principles for uninterrupted production and audit compliance. The Director of Supply Chain must be a respected leader, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and departments within the organization, including Production Control, Material Planning, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Facilities, all striving to achieve our corporate goals and objectives.</p>\n<p>The candidate will be responsible for all purchasing functions and inventory assets (plant, 3PL, sub-contractors, and internal suppliers) and manage a team of approximately 15 to 20 employees, including the Senior Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing Manager, Buyers, Warehouse/Inventory Control, and Shipping/Receiving personnel. </p>\n<p>This role reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.</p>\n<p>Someone who is a change agent, collaborative, and excels in dealing with overall supply chain logistics of a fast-paced, dynamic electronics assembly organization with a high degree of managerial skills will find this role extremely rewarding.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Department management:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Set the strategic vision for the department to achieve corporate objectives</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with company and governmental procurement policies and requirements, including but not limited to FAR / DFARS, ITAR, Procurement Integrity, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), foreign anti-bribery laws, and import / export regulations</li>\n <li>Support procurement strategies designed to reduce costs, improve product and service quality, and expedite delivery</li>\n <li>Develop methods to obtain year-over-year cost improvements on purchased parts</li>\n <li>Stay abreast of market trends </li>\n <li>Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers </li>\n <li>Drive continuous and simplistic process and system improvements for robust material flow, minimal shortages, and correct part quantity accuracy</li>\n <li>Initiate checks and balances for all processes and transactions</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Supervisory responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage daily operations of the supply chain team</li>\n <li>Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate supply chain personnel</li>\n <li>Ensure personnel operate in accordance with company guidelines and governmental regulations</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Supply Chain management:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor and control requisitioning and ordering of goods and services based on approved purchasing authority levels and budgets</li>\n <li>Prepare requests for quotes from suppliers</li>\n <li>Manage supplier qualification and selection process; evaluate quotes and ensure quality, cost, and lead time requirements are met</li>\n <li>Foster supplier relationships to manage end of life and other supply chain risk methodologies</li>\n <li>Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics, resolving disputes with suppliers</li>\n <li>Monitor and manage end of life issues for electronics purchases</li>\n <li>Optimize use of technology to streamline procurement processes</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Inventory management:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify inventory discrepancies, research root causes, and lead efforts to implement demonstrated permanent corrective actions (i.e., no repeat variances)</li>\n <li>Provide evidence of cycle count program compliance for count frequency, approvals aligned with targeted thresholds, and sustainable corrective actions</li>\n <li>Work with Production Control, Material Planning, Logistics, Production, and Quality departments to drive inventory accuracy in the factory</li>\n <li>Control and confirm inventory adjustments, appropriate transactions, and research variances</li>\n <li>Develop intuitive analysis tools and KPIs for confirmation and reporting of inventory control metrics</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shipping & Receiving management:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for all shipping and receiving activities, including international and customer-specific requirements for civilian, government, and DOD customers</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>This position anticipates mostly standard hours, with some variability based on surge requirements.</li>\n <li>This position is expected to perform work on-site at the Ashburn headquarters with some telework possible.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>TRAVEL:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Less than 10%</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>CLEARANCE:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>This position does not require an active security clearance at the time of application.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, required.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline, OR </li>\n <li>10+ years related experience in electronics assembly inventory procurement preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CERTIFICATION(S):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification preferred.</li>\n <li>LEAN / Six Sigma training preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years of related experience in electronics assembly, inventory, and procurement preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with AS9100 and AS6500 requirements (counterfeit materials, part traceability, anti-tamper, etc., and all supply chain-related processes and procedures)</li>\n <li>Experience flowing down AS9100 and AS6500 and any other contract requirements to the supply base</li>\n <li>Experience in Supply Chain Risk Management processes</li>\n <li>LEAN / Six Sigma training a plus</li>\n <li>Strong analytical skillset, along with data-driven and logical approach for improvement actions</li>\n <li>Highly detailed and service-oriented, strong process-driven nature strongly desired</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal, team, and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment</li>\n <li>Experience with standard ERP software and unique Vendor and Visual management systems</li>\n <li>Advanced MS Excel skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This job operates in a professional office environment.
