Coordinates and communicates treatment activities with health care team members and the patient. Works closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high quality patient care.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The Occupational Therapist:</strong></p>\n<li>Evaluates the patient's need for occupational therapy and develops/carries out appropriate treatment plan.</li>\n<li>Instructs family members, COTA's, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.</li>\n<li>Communicates with the physician and other health care providers on a regular basis regarding the patient's progress.</li>\n<li>Provides clinical oversight of COTAs in the home.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This job description is not meant to be exhaustive and may be modified as needed. Employees may be assigned other related duties to meet organizational needs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in Vermont and New Hampshire or hold a compact license.</li>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited school in Occupational Therapy</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year of experience as an OT in a home health care setting is preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Licensure/Certifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Unencumbered OT license in VT and NH or compact</li>\n</ul>",
