All qualified applicants will receive the same consideration for employment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Overview</span> <br><br>Western Community College is looking for a creative and skilled<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">In-House Videographer &amp; Video Editor</span> to support our Marketing &amp; Communications team.</p>\n<p> <br>This role is focused on capturing and editing engaging video content for social media, program marketing, student stories, campus life, events, and institutional communications.</p>\n<p> <br>We are looking for someone with a strong eye for visuals, clean editing skills, and the ability to turn real moments into polished, engaging videos. The ideal candidate should be comfortable filming people, capturing b-roll, editing short-form content, and supporting basic professional video needs such as interviews, testimonials, and event coverage.</p>\n<p> <br>This is a hands-on creative role for someone who enjoys filming, editing, storytelling, and working with a collaborative marketing team.</p>\n<p> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Video Capture</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Film video content for social media, website, advertising, events, program promotions, and internal communications.</li>\n<li>Capture students, faculty, staff, classes, labs, events, campus life, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments.</li>\n<li>Shoot both casual social-style videos and more polished camera-based content.</li>\n<li>Capture strong b-roll, clean audio, and visually appealing shots.</li>\n<li>Support basic lighting, framing, and audio setup for interviews and talking-head videos.</li>\n<li>Help identify interesting visual moments during shoots.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Video Editing</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.</li>\n<li>Edit longer or more polished videos such as testimonials, program videos, event recaps, and interview clips.</li>\n<li>Add captions, music, b-roll, basic graphics, transitions, and on-screen text.</li>\n<li>Create videos with clear pacing, strong hooks, and clean visual flow.</li>\n<li>Prepare videos in the correct formats for social media, websites, presentations, and ads.</li>\n<li>Organize video files, raw footage, project files, and exports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Social &amp; Marketing Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the Social Media Lead and marketing team to bring content ideas to life.</li>\n<li>Support regular content creation around student life, campus activities, programs, events, and community stories.</li>\n<li>Adapt videos for different platforms while keeping the College’s brand consistent.</li>\n<li>Suggest creative video ideas based on what is happening across campuses and programs.</li>\n<li>Help build a consistent video presence for the College across digital channels.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications &amp; Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience filming and editing video content.</li>\n<li>Strong portfolio or video samples showing both filming and editing ability.</li>\n<li>Good understanding of framing, lighting, audio, camera angles, and shot composition.</li>\n<li>Proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar.</li>\n<li>Ability to edit videos with captions, music, b-roll, text, and clean pacing.</li>\n<li>Comfortable filming real people in real environments.</li>\n<li>Able to work on multiple video projects and meet deadlines.</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.</li>\n<li>Interest in social media content, storytelling, and brand-building.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nice to Have</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience creating content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or LinkedIn.</li>\n<li>Experience filming interviews, testimonials, events, or promotional videos.</li>\n<li>Basic photography skills.</li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of motion graphics or branded video templates.</li>\n<li>Experience working in education, marketing, communications, or a similar environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We Are Looking For</span> <br><br>We are looking for someone who has a strong creative eye and can make everyday moments look engaging, clear, and professional.</p>\n<p> <br>The right person does not need to be an expert in every area of video production, but they should have strong core skills in filming, editing, and visual storytelling.</p>\n<p> <br>This role is a good fit for someone who can create content that feels authentic for social media while also supporting more polished video needs for a professional college environment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>How to Apply:</em></span></p>\n<p>Interested candidates are invited to apply with:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>A current resume</li>\n<li>A link to a portfolio or examples of video work (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or other platforms)</li>\n</ul>",
