De kans De Manager Kwaliteitsborging houdt toezicht op de dagelijkse kwaliteitsborgingsactiviteiten om ervoor te zorgen dat de productkwaliteit voldoet aan de normen van Village Farms. Deze rol richt zich op het implementeren en onderhouden van kwaliteitssystemen, in overeenstemming met toepasselijke wettelijke vereisten. In nauwe samenwerking met multidisciplinaire teams zorgt de Manager Quality Assurance voor naleving van kwaliteits- en regelgevingseisen, behandelt kwaliteitskwesties en stimuleert voortdurende verbetering in het productieproces. De functie is gericht op het handhaven van hoge productkwaliteit en naleving van regelgeving. Wat je gaat doen Quality Assurance Operations (60% van de tijd) Ontwikkelen en implementeren van beleid en procedures voor het kwaliteitsmanagementsysteem, waaronder maar niet beperkt tot: trainingsprogramma’s, change control-systeem, leveranciersmanagementprogramma, validatie/kwalificatie, afwijkings-/incidentbeheer, CAPA, out-of-specification resultaten, klachtenbeheer, terugroepacties en retouren. Toezicht houden op kwaliteitsprogramma’s met betrekking tot documentatie, productie, verpakking en etikettering, opslag, faciliteiten en alle andere GPP- en GMP-gerelateerde activiteiten. Toezien op en begeleiding geven aan multidisciplinaire teams met betrekking tot toepasselijke wetgeving, regelgeving en GPP- en GMP-eisen. Beoordelen en goedkeuren van batchdossiers, non-conformance onderzoeksrapporten, afwijkings-/incidentrapporten, CAPA-plannen en correctieve acties naar aanleiding van klantklachten. Verantwoordelijk zijn voor en toezicht houden op beslissingen met betrekking tot vrijgave of afkeuring van batches voor de markt. Leiden van afwijkingsonderzoeken en root cause-analyses en zorgen dat passende corrigerende en preventieve maatregelen worden geïmplementeerd. Beheren van productblokkeringen en adviseren over beslissingen omtrent disposition, waaronder herverwerking/herbewerking en vernietiging indien nodig. Samenwerken met afdelingshoofden om systemen te ontwikkelen die voldoen aan de regelgeving. Afstemmen met sampling- en laboratoriumteams en ondersteunen bij het beoordelen van documentatie, testresultaten, analysecertificaten en procedures. Compliance en audits (20% van de tijd) Uitvoeren van interne en externe kwaliteitsaudits; coördineren en voorbereiden van de locatie voor inspecties door Health Canada en andere toezichthouders. Nauw samenwerken met Regulatory Affairs om te waarborgen dat het kwaliteitsmanagementsysteem (QMS) en alle processen voldoen aan de actuele regelgeving. Toezien op leverancierskwalificatie en onderhoud om ervoor te zorgen dat leveranciers en contractfabrikanten voldoen aan de normen en specificaties van Village Farms. Zorgen dat documentatie, klachten, afwijkingen, non-conformiteiten, onderzoeken, corrigerende en preventieve acties en change control voldoen aan kwaliteits- en regelgevingseisen. Leiding en management (20% van de tijd) Aansturen en monitoren van de prestaties en ontwikkeling van directe medewerkers. The Opportunity The Manager, Quality Assurance oversees day-to-day Quality Assurance activities to ensure product quality meets Village Farms standards. Collaborating closely with cross functional teams, the Manager, Quality Assurance ensures compliance with quality and regulatory standards, addresses quality issues, and drives continuous improvement in the manufacturing process. The role is dedicated to maintaining high product quality and adherence to regulatory requirements. What You’ll Do Quality Assurance Operations (60% of Time Spent) Develop and Implement Quality Management System policies and procedures including but not limited toTraining programs,Change Control system,Vendor Management program,Validation/Qualification,Deviation/Incident process, CAPA,Out of Specification results,Customer Compliant management, Recalls, Returns. Oversee Qualityprogramspertaining to documentation, production, packaging & labelling, storage, and facility and all other GPP and GMP related activities. Monitor and provide guidance to cross functional teams regarding applicable laws, regulations and GPP and GMP requirements. Oversee, review and approve batch records,Non-conformance investigations reports, Deviation/Incident reports, CAPA plans, Customer Complaint corrective actions. Authorized to make and oversee decisions regarding the release or rejection of batches for the market. Lead non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure appropriate Corrective and Preventive Actions are implemented to prevent from occurrence and reoccurrence. Manage product holds and recommend disposition decisions including reprocessing/rework actions,and destruction, as applicable. Collaborate with cross functional department leaders to develop systems in compliance with applicable regulatory standards. Liaise with Village Farms sampling and lab teams and assist with review of documents, test results, certificates of analysis, and procedures to ensure compliance to specification. Compliance and Audits (20% of Time Spent) Perform internal and external quality audits; coordinate and prepare site for Health Canada and other regulatory inspections. Work closely with the Regulatory Affairs department to ensure that the QMS and all quality processes align with current regulatory requirements. Oversee supplier qualification and maintenance to ensure that suppliers and contract manufacturers are meeting Village Farms standards and specifications. Ensure that documentation, complaints, deviations, non-conformances, investigations, corrective and preventative actions, and change control are performed according to quality and regulatory requirements. Leadership and Management (20% of Time Spent) Manage and monitor direct report performances and development programs. Effectively manage people and projects to meet company objectives and established quality standards. Liaise with the regulatory team to stay abreast of new regulatory requirements. What You Bring Education: Bachelor’s degree in science or related discipline is required Diploma or Certificate in Quality Management or Regulatory Affairs is an asset Experience: 5-10 years of combined experience in food production, cannabis, pharmaceutical or equivalent regulated industry. Regulatory QA background, and familiarity with Health Canada’s GPP and GMP Working knowledge of cannabis regulations is a strong asset.
