This role involves leveraging your expertise in mechanical design and engineering to create innovative solutions for manufacturing automation. You'll work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver precise and functional mechanical designs, support project execution, and drive process improvements.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead mechanical design efforts for automation systems.</li>\n <li>Utilize SolidWorks CAD to develop and manage 3D models and large assemblies.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to drive projects from concept to completion.</li>\n <li>Provide onsite support and mentorship, assisting with assembly, troubleshooting, and commissioning.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Competencies:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3D design and detail experience using SolidWorks CADAble to work independently to create unique concepts and designs</li>\n <li>Understanding of tolerancing and its impact on functionality and cost</li>\n <li>Ability to build, organize and manage large assemblies within the SolidWorks environment while maintaining software stability</li>\n <li>Practical knowledge of and experience in toolroom, fabrication, and assembly processes</li>\n <li>Knowledge of materials properties to support material selection and treatment</li>\n <li>Experience integrating commercially available mechanical devices into designs (Robots, pneumatics, servos, conveyors, etc.) with a basic understanding of controls integration and automation.</li>\n <li>Experience in designing various work cells (robotics, testing, etc.).</li>\n <li>Communication and collaborative skillsAbility to communicate clearly with clients to understand requirements</li>\n <li>Interface directly with clients, vendors, and internal resources to drive engineering designs from concept through build and installation.</li>\n <li>Provide technical support during onsite mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities, including travel as needed</li>\n <li>Train and lead others in mechanical engineering and designProvide direction on industry methods to achieve project requirements</li>\n <li>Evaluation of designs for functionality, manufacturability, and practicality</li>\n <li>Evaluation of drawings for proper tolerancing</li>\n <li>Develop detailed technical prints and review them for accuracy to ensure precision and minimize errors during the manufacturing process.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Competencies & Opportunities for Growth:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Sales Experience\n  <ul>\n   <li>Estimating assembly, fabrication, and tooling components</li>\n   <li>Estimating engineering hours for design and development</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Generating conceptual designs and sales concepts based on client requirements</li>\n <li>Develop and refine RoviSys engineering standards</li>\n <li>Understanding of mechanical safety requirements in industrial automation</li>\n <li>Experience designing pedestals, robot stands, custom mounting and End of Arm Tools.</li>\n <li>Able to identify value add industry partners for tooling, fabrication, assembly, and engineering support</li>\n <li>Project management experience</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or significant working experience in industry.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a full time mechanical designer.</li>\n <li>Local or willing to relocate near our HQ office in Aurora, Ohio</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation & Benefits Highlights</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Competitive Base Salary:</strong> $80,000–$120,000, depending on experience </p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Performance Bonuses:</strong> Bonus structure designed to reward results </p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Travel Perks:</strong> Travel incentives + per-diem packages for field assignments </p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Full Benefits Package:</strong> Medical, dental, and vision coverage </p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Retirement Ready:</strong> 401(k) with company match </p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Time Off:</strong> Generous PTO which includes vacation, holidays, and unlimited personal time </p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Grow With Us:</strong><strong> </strong>Ongoing training, certifications, and professional development support </p></li>\n</ul>",
