POSITION SUMMARY The Graduate Assistant for Student Affairs and Residential Life will provide administrative and operational support to the department. This position is based on campus and requires a consistent presence in the office to ensure timely communication, organization, and coordination of department initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing office correspondence Maintain and organize departmental records, files, and databases Support the scheduling and coordination of meetings, trainings, and events Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and related materials Assist in updating departmental calendars and communication boards Process departmental forms, work orders, and supply requests Maintain inventory of office and programming supplies Provide basic support for Residential Life programming and Student Affairs events, including room reservations, sign-up tracking, and promotional materials Greet and assist visitors, students, and staff in the office Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Vice President of Student Affairs QUALIFICATIONS Enrollment in a graduate program (required) Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with staff and students is a must COMPENSATION Graduate Assistant stipend and/or tuition remission as outlined in the appointment agreement. Student is required to submit a timesheet weekly, meeting instructions and guidelines set forth by the Financial Aid Department for students offered positions in Graduate Assistantships. Applicants must be a new or returning Rosemont graduate student. Applications will only be considered when submitted through the College application system. Professional and positive attitude, ability to work flexible hours. Computer literacy of Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint, outlook). Strong data analysis skills and abilities. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. NOTES Student is required to submit timesheet weekly meeting instructions and guidelines set forth by the Financial Aid Department for students offered positions in Graduate Assistantship.
