If you share this passion and enjoy collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, we invite you to explore this rewarding opportunity.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a Pediatric Development position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>EVALUATION AND TREATMENT PLANNING</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Consistently identifies patients’ subjective and objective limitations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Incorporates age and disability appropriate assessment tools and procedures.</p></li>\n <li><p>Develops specific, effective, and individualized therapeutic programs with measurable long and short-term goals, including projected timeframes for achievement.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maximizes patient and caregiver participation in goal-setting and discharge planning.</p></li>\n <li><p>Coordinates treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>TREATMENT IMPLEMENTATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Utilizes age-appropriate treatment skills aligned with level of experience.</p></li>\n <li><p>Performs modalities and procedures in compliance with established professional standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Applies a variety of techniques tailored to each patient’s unique needs.</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensures treatment progression aligns with established goals.</p></li>\n <li><p>Demonstrates clinical reasoning and judgment to support the treatment plan.</p></li>\n <li><p>Regularly updates and revises treatment plans to address new problems, changes in patient status, or functional limitations.</p></li>\n <li><p>Actively involves patients and caregivers in treatment to promote functional outcomes.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provides education and opportunities for functional carryover through home exercise programs.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>DOCUMENTATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Produces legible, accurate, timely, and concise documentation including medical records, letters to physicians, communication with payors/vendors, daily flow sheets, and progress notes.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PATIENT/FAMILY EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Tailors education to meet the age and educational level of patients and families.</p></li>\n <li><p>Recognizes and respects patient and family belief systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Designs educational programs that align with realistic patient and family goals.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provides written and verbal home education materials to patients and caregivers.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>As required by licensure.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skill Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of medical and neurological terminology and behavioral management techniques.</li>\n <li>Exceptional verbal and written skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates competency, as appropriate to the ages of patients served, in the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs; a knowledge of normal growth and development; and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.</li>\n <li>Must have excellent organizational skills to facilitate program development.</li>\n <li>Computer skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Current applicable state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) required. </li>\n <li>Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from American Speech and Hearing Association required or in the process of obtaining through their Clinical Fellowship Year.
