    "description": "<h2>Min</h2>USD $37.43/Hr.\n<h2>Max</h2>USD $58.02/Hr.\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Using independent judgment, perform a variety of procedures utilizing nuclear medicine equipment and Hybrid PET/CT scanner. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Schedule </p>\n<p>Full Time, Day Shift</p>\n<p>7:30am-4pm</p>\n<p>Rotating Weekends</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Licensure/Certification/Registry:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Registered nuclear medicine technologist, ARRT-N or NMTCB certificate required.</li>\n <li>Obtain PET technologist, NMTCB certificate, within 18 months.</li>\n <li>Active license required from the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety in nuclear medicine.</li>\n <li>Maintain BLS CPR Certification.</li>\n <li>Maintain PET Certification, after acquiring.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>2 years nuclear medicine experience required, including 1 year as Nuclear Medicine Tech II.</li>\n <li>700 hours experience on hybrid PET/CT scanner required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging, Hybrid PET/CT imaging and therapeutic procedures on patients of all ages, according to established standards, policies, protocols and guidelines.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced procedures including</li>\n <li>PET/CT exams </li>\n <li>Shunt patency exams</li>\n <li>Brain death studies</li>\n <li>Octreoscan</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Therapeutic administrations including</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Inpatient and Outpatient 131I ablations</li>\n <li>Strontium/Samarium</li>\n <li>Xofigo</li>\n <li>SPECT/CT Imaging</li>\n <li>Attenuation Correction and diagnostic quality studies</li>\n <li>Oral and IV contrasted studies </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Maintain technical skills relating to imaging factors.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Maintain an excellent guest relations rapport with patients, visitors, Physicians and fellow employees.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Maintain skills in performing emergency and routine patient care as required.</p>\n<p>Maintain technical skills with the performance of bariatric imaging to include the operation of bariatric patient transfer devices.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Maintain technical skills with the performance of imaging of ICU patients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Utilize proper infection control practices per the department procedure manual.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Monitor the condition of equipment and supplies to ensure safe and efficient operations of the department.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ensure proper recording and transmission of patient information.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Comply with department procedure regarding employee / patient incident reports.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Participate in continuing education and maintain knowledge of current and new technology.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Perform quality control procedures in accordance with manufacture guidelines on all Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Successfully perform biweekly Normalization of PET/CT scanner and keep proper records of   Remove this requirement is obsolete.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Capable of modifying existing protocols and building new protocols for the PET/CT scanner.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Capable of resolving camera issues-calling support, rescheduling patients, rearranging the schedule, and able to assist field engineers when needed.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Monitor Preventative Maintenance of both scanner and contrast injector.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Maintain proper safety measures in handling of all radiopharmaceuticals and employee radiation exposure dosage.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Capable of working independently and provide guidance to Level I & II Technologists. Assist with the instruction of radiography students and new employees.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Participate in flexible work hours that coincide with workload demands, overtime required when necessary. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Take call as required to assigned area of department.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Performs other related work as required or requested.</p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
