In close collaboration with the Area Director of Sales, Sales Manager(s), Sales &amp; Catering Coordinator(s), and property leadership, this position plays a crucial role in booking business within assigned segments, and coordinating and executing various group and corporate account functions.</p><p>Position includes base pay plus bonus plan.&nbsp;<br><strong><em><br>&nbsp;Duties/Responsibilities:</em></strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Approximately 75% of time dedicated to conducting sales-related activities within assigned business segments/verticals</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Approximately 25% of time spent facilitating and overseeing meeting operations</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Directly supervises up to one (1) Coordinator-level employee</li><li>Solicits new and existing accounts to attract and close new and repeat business</li><li>Receives incoming leads and negotiates contracts to secure new bookings within defined booking parameters</li><li>Acts as primary point-of-contact for contracted groups to facilitate their guestroom and meeting needs</li><li>Facilitates group food &amp; beverage needs including creating Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and ordering outside catering</li><li>Oversees management of group room blocks, tracking cutoff dates and managing blocks in partnership with the client and internal stakeholders &nbsp;</li><li>Oversees facilitation of group billing</li><li>Maintains partnerships with preferred outside catering vendors to ensure quality service and preferential pricing/terms</li><li>Assists meeting operations with functions as needed, including room set-up and tear-down, greeting and being available for clients on-site, assisting with AV needs, etc.</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of the hotel and competitors&rsquo; facilities, services, amenities, and meeting spaces</li><li>Produces and analyzes/distributes reports on booking pace, catering revenue/forecasts, business performance, etc. as needed</li><li>Maintains accurate, legible records and files to provide group/client history, ensure future and current service quality, and enhance prospects</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Coordinates site tours, sales appointments/trips, and VIP arrangements</li><li>Assists in group accounting and billing tasks, ensuring payments/deposits are collected per contract</li><li>Additional duties as assigned<br><br></li></ul><p><strong><em>&nbsp;Required Skills/Abilities:&nbsp;</em>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently with moderate supervision; must be self-motivated and able to prioritize effectively</li><li>Flexible, versatile and a fast learner, able to adapt quickly and maintain calm in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Must present a well-groomed appearance and professional manner; professional phone and email etiquette</li><li>Able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies; willing and able to work a flexible schedule as needed (may include nights/weekends)</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong supervisory and leadership skills</li><li>Extensive knowledge of hotel and hospitality industry</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<br><strong><em>Education and Experience:</em>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>4-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred&nbsp;</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Previous hospitality experience required</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Prior leadership experience preferred</li></ul><p><br><strong><em>Physical Requirements:&nbsp;</em></strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time</li><li>Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time, and move banquet tables, chairs, and other equipment on own</li><li>Must be able to access and navigate the facilities</li><li>Employees are required to adhere to safety requirements by wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment.</li><li>Work is routine and repetitive in nature and may require strenuous physical exertion at times, including the ability to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Must possess a valid Driver&rsquo;s License &nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
