In this position you will manage the day to day activities of the Foundry and Melt Shop, including inventory and equipment. &nbsp;You will lead a team to ensure the group is always working effectively and efficiently. Some of your key responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Assisting and supporting the foundry manager in accomplishing department goals and plans</li><li>Leading your team, to include coaching, mentoring, and realigning workloads</li><li>Enforcing all company rules and regulations, initiating necessary discipline, and ensuring all work areas and equipment are clean and orderly</li><li>Developing performance expectations of the department employees</li><li>Driving quality improvement activities&nbsp;</li><li>Creating individual work assignments to accomplish tasks set forth by department manager</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Kutztown, PA</p><p><strong>Shift:</strong>&nbsp;11pm-7am</p><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Minimum 3 years in a related manufacturing environment</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production team</li><li>Understand and have a working knowledge of all jobs in the foundry as required to meet the department goals and plans</li><li>Ability to understand and utilize computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint</li><li>Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot</li><li>Strong communication skills</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High School Diploma or GED is required</li><li>Associates Degree or applicable related work experience</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.</li><li>This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays</li><li>Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Safety Activities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
